understand what women desireHow do you know what a man wants?

Well, you can do one of two things.

You can create a story based on all your wants and needs and fit him neatly in that story. I mean, let’s talk about that for a second.

How many times have you met a man, you thought he was great, you saw potential in him?

So, you created this whole romantic story about the two of you.

He said he didn’t want kids, yet you managed to find a way to have kids with him.

He said he wanted to live in the city his whole life, yet you have a story that the two of you are going to live in the suburbs.

He said he doesn’t like vacations and cities, yet you picture walking hand in hand through Paris with him.

How many times have you done that? How many times have you not truly listened to what a man wants, and how a man communicates, and you’ve created your own romance story because you are being triggered by your romantic desires in a relationship?

Now, granted, I’ve done the same thing. I haven’t really looked at a person presenting themselves in front of me because I see what I really want and I believe they can be what I want, so I’ve done that in relationships as well. It’s a very destructive behavior.

It leads to a lot of pain and a lot of heartbreak because when that relationship doesn’t work out we get all upset, but in reality you get upset at that person. The person you need to be upset at is you because you created this romance that never really was there in the first place.

You created this whole romantic journey and this whole romantic story based on your needs, wants, and desires and you hoped that they would fit in, or see your vision, your side of things.

There’s a great line from the move The Little Mermaid.

Ariel is all frustrated, she’s in her underground cave.

She’s surrounded by Flounder, Sebastian, her two friends.

She’s having issues with her dad.

She’s collecting all these things and just looks down at her friends and says, “How do I make him understand?”

He doesn’t.

You see, King Triton is no different from King Neil, or King Joe, or King Sam.

You can’t make a man understand at all.

As a matter of fact, that man told you exactly what he wanted. So King Triton told Ariel what type of daughter he really desires. He didn’t want the daughter that he had, he wanted the daughter that he desires. He had a whole story about her. We do it on all levels. We do it with our children, we do it with jobs, we do it with our bosses, we do it with friends sometimes, but the thing is you need to stop the madness. You need to stop creating something out of nothing.

So, the next time you meet a man, or you’re dating, ask him what he wants. Listen really carefully. I go deeper in this in the Commitment Switch, but I wanted to give you this free video today so you can understand what men really want.
