I am sitting on the plane waiting to take off to nyc and I was thinking.

Have any of you ever met anyone on a plane that you dated?

Most people on a plane tend to be anti social including myself.

I was on the road about 200 days a year, so I was always on a plane. I never dated someone I met. I had some great conversations with women. One time I knew the woman was interested, but I was in a relationship. Another time, a girl was quite attractive and a great conversationalist, but she was connecting to somewhere else and lived 1000 miles from me. David, you probably fly first class so the "vibe" is different. I'd fly up there sometimes when I had enough miles or they bumped me automatically. Back in coach its a bit more crammed and stuffy, especially now since the big airlines have removed the roomier rows. A friend is dating a girl from Virginia that he met on a flight from Atlanta up to Richmond. But he's a serious extrovert who meets people everywhere!

Met a girl flying from my home town to Vegas for the weekend. She was going there on business. She was a weekend stripper at a Vegas Club. LOL! :)

I never had dates/relationships with people whom I met on the airplane, but sometimes I have interesting conversations with people. Some people are not really open to talking with strangers on the plane I guess.

The first flight I took, I was seated next to a Rabbi. The second flight, I was seated next to a Priest. So no, I haven't dated anyone I met on a plane. Or maybe these seat assignments are a sign from above that I should be looking for a man of the cloth? :o)

I'm afraid, David, that I'm also guilty of being a somewhat anti-social flyer. I usually bring a significant volume of all the reading material I don't have time to get to in my day-to-day life ... and then I let myself get lost in that for the entirety of the flight. Not that I am unfriendly if addressed, but I have to admit I've never tried (nor has anyone ever tried with me) to have a romantic connection on a plane.
