That's great and all but can you really spark attraction with words alone? I'm ok with speaking with women but realize that it only works if she finds you attractive already or at leat not creepy. I hate to think it's all just a numbers game and just talk to alot of women. No breakthrough there.

This is extremely useful advice. When I was young, I used to be afraid to ask questions for fear of looking dumb. Later on I realized that it's impossible for me to know everything and the best way to find out is ask someone who does and potentially forge a connection. If a person is knowledgeable about a subject, that person will enjoy educating you about it. Also, this is one of the least threatening ways a man can approach a woman. "I've never understood the difference between expressionism and cubism. I'm curious, do you know?" You can't be accused of hitting on a woman because it's a valid question to ask, but it can start a connection.

This was one of the biggest epiphanies for myself that I learned from Wygant: the point of a conversation is NOT to make more points than anyone else, it's to gather more personal information than anyone else ;) I just stumbled onto an interesting trick, especially if you are a brainiac like me: Whenever someone talks about something you know nothing of, or asks you a question that you couldn't answer well, follow up by doing some quick research on the topic afterwards. In the long term, I suspect you should be able to talk to pretty much anyone. Example: I have run into more than one person who lived in Michigan, Kentucky, and Ohio lately. It would be good to know a little something about those states. Or more about bluegrass vs country music - a girl was recently lecturing me on that topic. The point is, though, to research topics based on what pops up in real world conversation.

Everything you would do or say is real world conversation. Just say whatever comes to your mind. Even if you think it is off the wall, they might not. Maybe their a brainiac to..Don't prejudge anything. Just speak. Start with that. The rest will take care of itself..
