I got a great e-mail from Monica.

Monica had a quick question, she asked:

“David, your information is remarkable. Thank you. I enjoy reading it.

The question: What about shy guys that hide behind keyboards and afraid to talk on the phone but will chat? What’s going on in that area?”

A female surfing the web anonymouslyMonica, the Internet was designed for shy men and shy women to come up to with a larger than life personality.

Meaning, anybody can rewrite an e-mail. Anybody can rewrite an IM. Anybody can edit anything on the Internet.

A lot of shy men have larger than life personalities on the Internet because that is the only way that they can do it. In reality, they’re so shy that if they did pick up the phone, their personality is nothing like the personality they have conveyed through e-mails and every other method that doesn’t involve face-to-face or face-to-ear conversation.

It’s the way of the world nowadays and it’s kind of sad.

It seems like a lot of shy men and shy women also have these combative larger-than-life personalities, but yet in everyday life, you would never even notice them.

I get e-mails from people all the time that challenge me, and when I respond and ask if they’d like to get on the phone and talk about it, they back down immediately. They’re too scared; they’re terrified.

Here’s the deal: you’ve got a man that you’ve been e-mailing back and forth. If he’s got a larger-than-life personality yet refuses to get on the phone, I’d pass on the date. Matter of fact, I’d pass on ever meeting him.

Because all he had is an Internet personality, and that’s it.

You want a man that can talk the talk online and then walk the walk in person.

Your best bet: find him…in person.

That way, what you see is what you get.
