You GOT to be startin’ somethin’. Sing it like Michael Jackson sang it (obviously I don’t remember all the words!) Half the year is over today, so really you got to be starting something.
Tonight is the night before my birthday, and all through the blog not a creature was stirring . . . not even a whale (well, since it’s summer I figured I should pick a creature that swims).
But anyway, it’s June 30th, so let’s talk about whether YOU got to be starting something. Are you where you thought you’d be with all your New Year’s resolutions? If not, then you’ve got half a year left to make them happen.
So let’s all think about startin’ somethin’ . . . ya ya . . . Oh, wait, that’s actually the Secrets Of The Ya-Ya Sisterhood (a movie, not a song). Anyway, sing Michael’s song today and let’s move on to today’s blog topic — which happens to be about singing your life.
People are always asking me how I’m in such a good mood all of the time. I’m always in a good mood. I feel good from the second I wake up until the second I fall asleep.
How do I do it? I spend my entire day singing through life.
I’m not necessarily walking around singing a song all day long. To me, though, life is literally like a song. I’m basically singing all day long.
When I wake up, I’m always feeling really goofy. I’ll wake up with some ridiculous song in my head, like “Bicycle” by Queen. I’ll be making breakfast in the kitchen and in my head I’ll be singing the lyrics “Bicycle, bicycle… I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike…”
I don’t even know all the words, but by doing that I start laughing and cracking myself up. I begin to have a good time.
That is what life is all about. Life is all about having a good time. You should always be singing.
So really think about having different soundtracks going through your head all of the time. Perhaps you get a song stuck in your head that you hear while you’re driving. Sing that song to yourself.
Let yourself go! Most of us walk around like we have a stick so far up our ass. Now what kind of song do you think that would inspire?
Just let it go! Don’t be so serious. Sing the day away.
If you can sing your day away, people will want to be with you. It’s like you’re creating your own concert and the rest of the world is your giant mosh pit. All they will want to do is carry you around all day long.
Start singing!
I spend my whole day laughing. If I’m in a place where laughing out loud might seem strange, I turn it inside. I also usually (unless work is taking the energy out of me) walk around feeling really strong! I don’t mean like a power lifter (although I am strong). I mean I feel the energy of strength or purpose. And my other common mindset is to be amazed at everything that is happening.
So for me, to always be in a great mood, I keep my energy vibrating with laughter, strength, and wonder. It makes me feel awesome all the time.

Funny topic. I just got back from shopping at my local Trader Joes. Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix was on and I was singing it and groovin’ the whole time I was shopping, then I get home and read this. Most people don’t even notice the music, but 1 woman noticed and we had a short conversation about the song and what we thought it was about.
David – What about singing Jungle Boogie at the Counter, that’s another memorable tune!
Really dont need a song ón All the time, it just seems to flow great energy and i really dont Think too much about great energy. From the minute i wake i am full speed and enjoying my Day…never Got morning blues
the only song i really hum is Life of Brians always look at the bright side of life when something is absurds or bugs mé and right away i Got a smile back ón my face. But going back to the new years plans for the year, cant really say i have been super succesful in mu weightloss, but Don’t see it as a failure, asi really dont Think it’s the new years is such a special time to make these plans.

Last night I dreamt of San Pedos warm wind carried on the sea he calls to me…La Isla Bonita.
In the morning when I wake up there are times I want to throw that damn alarm clock out the window for I know I have to get ready for work. But when I am at work I picture myself being happy and smiling. I have had more compliments along the way and people tell me when I come up to your register you always have a smile on your face. I have customers that will look me up at my register for I am kind to everyone.

I thought I was the only one that thought ‘in tune’. Everything that comes out of my mouth has a song behind it. I think it keeps me happy through out the day or maybe it’s the zoloft and penis.
I don’t have a great voice, but everyday I sing and dance! Mostly in the evening when I’m most awake. It feels great! Sometimes I just can’t stop and my younger sister gets annoyed haha.

David, happy birthday for this week – with the good mood thing, you have a gift.. is that something you’ve worked on or something you always had? I don’t believe you have never worked at a positive mindset.
I certainly don’t have that good mood all the time thing, and although I do have a positive mindset, I have to work on myself…but maybe that will make me wiser
For me the secret to happiness is to really realise on a deep level that you have no excuses of any kind not to throw yourself behind that which is great in life – believe in great values and believe in and trust yourself, and if you’re into it, believe in & trust God… and laugh! For me that process of liberation has been a hard and complex one but crucial.. because it’s hard to just sing your life when something keeps holding you back and you don’t know what that is. You have to figure that out, deal with it then make a big choice to sing your life out.
