I have a question for all of you today.

What do you want to see me talk about over the next 30 days?

What topics would you like me to cover?

What is your stumbling block in meeting the opposite sex?

What is your biggest fear when you meet someone?

If you had to change one thing about your relationship or dating life what would it be?

I want to take today to focus in on your needs so I can write up some blogs based on what you guys want to see and read over the next 30 days.

As always I have some great blogs coming but would like to mix it in with some of your topics.
The only thing I ask today of all of you is to stay on topic.

I know we can get off topic at times but in order for me to help you I need to know what you want to learn more about.

I also want to hear from all the silent readers, I look at the stats and know that we have a lot of people reading and viewing but not commenting.

I have found that I meet someone, enjoy their company, but after a few dates, weeks or a month, I just know long term they are not for me. How do you keep it casual?.... Sex changes everything. How do you end it without big drama? I have experienced drama. how do you keep the doors open for future fun if desired? You enjoy them. Thanks. TGIF

It would seem that my major problem with meeting men is that I'm on a different schedule than the rest of the world. You all have Saturdays and Sundays. I work at Oh My God Its Early-thirty on Sunday morning. I usually fly on Wednesdays so that sort of precludes do anything for that 24 hours. So how do I meet men on Thursdays and Fridays?

Hi David. I'm one of those silent readers, I've been reading for a week now and I really enjoy your blog. I don't have a problem meeting woman or talking to them, I just haven't found someone who I really feel I have a connection with, someone who feels the same about me. So I've come up with a concept about why "nice" men always finish last: (i think I'm one of those) It's all about what you need and want in life, and confusing the two. If you want to date a woman simply because you have a need to feel accepted and loved, it's not going to happen. Nothing scares most woman more than a guy who is only dating her to feel loved. Unfortunately, most "nice" guys have this need. This is what initially made them nice, trying to please woman, trying to be someone the woman wants in order to be accepted by her. My solution: You have to find love from somewhere ells. Be it your mother, friends, family or co-workers. If you try dating now, you won't feel the pressure of trying to win this woman over, you'll simply be having a great time, cause you already have a base of love and acceptance in your life. Dating woman shouldn't be a need, it should be a want. Keep well, Wicus

David, I seem to constantly have the same problems and really want to change them. I am in college so you would think that classes would be a great way to talk to ppl. Some ppl are easier to approach than others but I want to be able to approach all of them and just don't know how/when. I can never seem to find a good time to start up a conversation. Also with the girls that I do talk to, we start chatting then like 2 or 3 minutes into the conversation it just dies. It is hard to find something to talk about and once there is an awkward long silence we just say "See ya next class." after the class is finished. So any help in these areas would be great. I currently purchased "Always Talk To Strangers.." but have not received it in the mail yet, and I am excited to read it to get all the advice I can from it. Thanks! Sanchez

I always like to read about approach / conversation tips (particularly that moment of transitioning from the initial 10-20 seconds into a regular conversation that lasts minutes), mindset tips, and fun and cool motivational success stories about people getting out there and taking a chance and having it work out great. Those are very motivational and help remind what's really possible.

David; I will start out on topic and really try to stay, as well as end there. We all know I am one of the worst here to start with the jokes and puns that who knows where come from. Ok with all that "off topic" rambleing... I enjoy the blog on a daily basis, and really have no requests, but maybe one. I would love to see a blog that speaks how how to get your friends to approach the men they are attracted to instead of expecting you to be the ice breaker every time you go anywhere. I have this "problem," and I am the ice pick...metaphorically speaking. I don't mind talking to anyone at all, I just would like these ladies to learn to use their mouths (nope..not going there;) ) and speak up when interest hits them. All three beautiful, but in much need of a boot camp. LOL I hope y'all r reading this right now girlys:) They know I want to see them get there stuff together and be a little more confident to approach these nice looking guys they so desperately want. My thought lately..You want him bad enough..FETCH!! LOL Jim; I know I am not David, but I don't think sex has to change anything, except for the intimate relations you have with someone. I have a friend who tells me when you get with a man...keep your emotions out of your..umm.. genetalia we will say. I think you can be friends, although I do think there is probably going to be the one who really wants a friend and the other who is trippin. Sad shame to end on a notable note if you have been together for even one time intimately.

Lexi, I'd love to hear about those topics too! I'm sure its hard for a guy to put himself out there and talk to women, and I hate feeling like a bitch when I'm not interested. Last weekend a guy approached me within earshot of his buddies, guys not always a good idea. As long as we're on this topic, I'm friendly and outgoing, but this is often mistaken for signs of interest or flirting. How can this be avoided?

Shelby-- Yeah, what I'm most curious about is how do you turn someone down and keep the interaction going? Because I'm decent at politely turning someone down and then ending the conversation, or rather rude turning them down and ending the interaction (I can give examples of both)-- but I don't want to date everyone that I'm interested in talking to, and I know that I sometimes give mixed signals. It's a good topic.

Ok David, One more thing and amazingly its on topic too. I'm so proud of myself. I don't really have the problem of talking to people or finding something to talk about generally. Its just that the talk gene isn't always on when it should be. For example, I was in the Safeway after work one day and theres this very attractive man in the aisle, but it like doesn't register until I'm out in the car that I could have said something about his juice choice. Maybe I'm just having trouble being in the moment......
