LMAO! You tell'em David! Women never forget what you did wrong, and love to remind you of it the next time you do something wrong. Not good! I heard a joke that has a lot of truth in it; "The biggest mistake men and women make is, Women think Men can read minds and Men think Women can't."

Well, I have to agree with you David. When I was in my 20's and insecure and generally had a chip on my shoulder concerning men - I did this routine. But I stopped this at some point when I realized how it felt to be on the other side. Unfortunately, it isn't just men who are treated this way by women, women do it to their female friends as well. They hold grudges over the stupidest things. And I can say that, because I get hurt by stupid things sometimes, but if for some reason I don't feel it is right to bring up in the moment - I try to sit with it and determine if it REALLY is something worth bringing up. Thing is - we women realize we are often offended by many things, so we do hold back a lot of our first reactions at times. Otherwise, if we are say PMSy - we might be confronting men every second - because we are in oversensitive mode. So the trick is knowing "when to hold them and when to fold them," For instance - that example that you gave about the "hair thing on youtube" - I would have "folded" that one --- if the guy thought I was ugly, he wouldn't be with me - so I would just let that one go ... if that is a real example - that girl has insecurities ON HER OWN that she is projecting outward onto "you." BUT if say - a guy constantly cuts on a girl for her appearance - she might let the comments go a couple of times to see if there is a pattern and bring it up the next time he does it IMMEDIATELY or say something to him the first time he does it, within at least 24 hours time. Women are sensitive and our brains are going a million miles a minute about all sorts of things, so it really is best for all concerned to bring things up that MATTER as soon as possible. Otherwise we are torturing ourselves while we are silent and then torture our poor unsuspecting guy when our issues finally come out. But FIRST of all we should trust our guy to love us the best way he can and give him the benefit of the doubt and understand that - he sometimes says stupid stuff, and we shouldn't be armed for battle everytime he does. If we are feeling a bit raw, and sensitive, we need to find ways to calm ourselves, so that we can enjoy our relationship rather than be armed for battle.

You mention two scenarios where a guy goes cold if you either have sex on first date or if you dont have sex on first date that the man is tired of trying to too hard. But what about another scenario where a man goes cold. I met a guy, had a great first date, no sex, just kissing. He was the one that started to txt and write very nice things, plan for next few months with me. Then next date we have sex, third date we just talk and enjoy each other’s company (no sex), 4th date we go out for dinner (no sex). The day after 4th date the guy asks me if I wanted to help him decorate christmas tree, and I enthusiastically said yes. But since then he has not communicated much. Now, its been several data I have not heard from at all. He has gone completely cold. Why, I am confused…

my friends husband after 23 years of marriage took her to the pictures and on the way out he said to her I need my space I'm not comming home I have packed my bags and have rented an apartment I am leaving you tonight and left she was in shock she had no idea he felt this way it was 8 months ago the only contact she has was sent by text and email he sent her this today! what doe's this mean? just want other peoples opinions I hope your treatments etc are going well it was nice to hear your voice the other day but this stuff is too hard to talk about and I don’t think it would be fair on you if I just rang you and told you without knowing where u are etc. I have read over our previous emails so many times wondering whether I did the right thing by saying that we should both not tell each other if we start seeing someone else. On reflection I think that would just make it harder. I don’t know if you are seeing someone else but I am. I don’t know if me stating it has made things harder or easier for you to deal with. I imagine harder and I apoligise for that but I thought you had the right to know in case others tell you about it. Unlikely. I don’t know why you mention attractiveness in your email. What has that got to do with what happened to us? It has not one bit to do with anything that happened. Yes we had some great memories. We also had some very difficult times. Hopefully we don’t allow what is happening now to destroy those great memories. I think that maybe we tried to keep it going for too long and that created anxieties and stressors for the two of us. Towards the end we were both making each other unwell. I understand you have been unwell of late but you were also unwell for quite some time when we were together. Stress makes people unwell. Tina we need to stop these guilt trips that we play on ourselves. I think You keep beating yourself up about the past and what you could have done differently, ie kids, work, education, me, yourself. I beat myself up also about a lot of things. We both did our best from a very young age and we brought up two great kids. It is great to see that bella and you are getting on well. Jason has just become a party boy. I will still continue to support you and the kids. Nothing will change in that regard. I don’t know if this makes things worse but I would want to know. If you do want to know anything else ask. If you want to meet and talk about stuff just let me know. I wasn’t sure when to send this but I concluded there is never a good time. Sorry,

This is simply great advice! This was my Mother's strategy for parenting. Immediate reaction/correction. That's one way I learned how to stay in the moment. However, the savvy guy better not say/write the "F" word to me, no matter how angry he becomes, or he's history. P.S. I admire your decor, David! I love the pink vases! I had no idea that you like pink. The geometric picture is also interesting. However, I would so love to know the titles of the books in your stylish looking bookcase which seems a little bare to me, because in my world, bookcases are stuffed with books!

I am still peering into David's bookcase to see all the interesting things he has there. I see a bottle, a green box, and something orange and who knows what else is there. More importantly, does David still have these things? Or does he discard his treasures? P.S. The David here in 2013 sounds very angry. It is not the David of 2016! I think I like the present version better!

Now that I think about it, David is not just angry, he is also impatient here. I don't see that in the present David. Most of the time, the current David has patience which is why I prefer the current version.

Oops. What I actually meant is "call", not "say." There is a difference. In other words, a guy better not call me the F word, or he is history because that is one of the worst words to call someone.
