The crush. I remember one of my biggest crushes ever.

I had a huge crush on this girl, Kim.

It was the 5th grade. I was so enamored by her. Every time she came into class, I couldn’t stop looking at her. I wanted to make her my 5th grade girlfriend, whatever that might be.

So one day I decided I was going to give her my Wacky Packages. For those of you not old enough to remember, Wacky Packages made fun of all different types of products – Crest toothpaste was Crust, and so on.

She came in that day. I remember her walking in like it was yesterday.BEST

She was crying.

Our teacher sat and talked to her for a few minutes. She sat behind me in her usual desk and chair.

I decided that I was going to do it. I was going to give her a Wacky Package.

I turned around and gave her one. A couple of minutes later I gave her another one. By the end of the day I must have given her 50 Wacky Packages. They were all of my doubles. I wasn’t going to be stupid and give away the ones I didn’t have two of.

At the end of the day I said, “I’m going to go to Mike’s Party Store. I’ll go and buy some more, would you like more?” She looked at me and she said, “Why are you doing this?”

I said, “I don’t know why. Isn’t this what you are supposed to do?”

That was the end of it. I don’t think I talked to her again for another year. I went to Mike’s Party and got more Wacky Packages, went home, and felt rejected.

Now we’re adults. We can learn how to deal with a crush way more effectively.

What do we do as an adult when we have a crush?

Step 1: Let him know

Put it out there. Tell him you want to get to know him. Even if you just go out for a drink, or whatever. Just put it out there.

Step 2: Flirt

Flirt with him when you’re with him. Touch him. Make him feel attractive.

Step 3: Watch this video

Watch today’s video and I’ll break down how to get this man, this crush, to be showing up at your door.

Crushes are a beautiful thing.
