You and your man are not getting along.

He wants to talk and move forward but before you move forward, you feel the need to tell him every single thing that he did wrong.

Every single thing down to the detail: the day, the time, aspects of the conversation that he may not have remembered, and of course, how bad he made you feel.

Every detail. Every moment.

Then you’ll go back two years and repeat something that he did two years ago and relate it to your current issues.

But ladies, I must tell you, if you want to have successful relationships in the future, you’ve got to let it go.

Let it go.

Men are not wired that way. If we come to you, we want to move forward in the relationship, so let go of the past. If we apologize and we say we learned from what we did—believe us, and let it go. If we tell you that we’re going to try really hard to make sure that we are better as a boyfriend or a husband—whatever it might be—give us the opportunity.

But going through every pain-point, every moment, everything that we did to you over the past X amount of years isn’t going to move things forward and it’s not going to make anybody feel better.

Because let me tell you something: you’re equally responsible for the mess that was created in the relationship.

That’s right, even though you might be listing every event that happened, you were still a participant, you still were the cause and the effect of a lot of the things.

So just let it go.

You’re never going to get an answer to why he did X two years ago. You’re never going to get an answer to every little thing, so stop rehashing everything.

Just think to yourself, “Do I want to move forward with this man?”

If so, let it go.
