resisting lifeThink about all the things that you need to work on in your life. Think about the social things that you need to work out. Think about the way you deal with men. Think about it. Think about the last couple of Friday nights and what you could’ve done or should’ve done differently.

In life, what you resist persists. The things we really need in our lives are usually the things we resist the most.

Well, what does David Wygant mean by that?

Think about this, difficult conversations you need to have but you put off because you hope they’ll heal themselves. They could be conversations with an ex. They could be conversations with a man that you’re dating right now. You think to yourself, ‘maybe he’ll change his behavior’. So, instead of having the difficult conversation, you resist it and keep waiting for him to make changes.

What you resist, persists.

I’ve done it in my own personal life. I think to myself, “Man, they’re just going to love me. They’re going to understand me better. I’m just not going to do a thing. I’ll have a conversation with them and then I’ll just allow them to figure it out on their own.”

What you resist, persists. We get stuck in relationships that no longer serve us because we think that they’ll magically change.

I get emails all the time asking me, “David, I met this man who I love so much. He’s not affectionate enough for me. He’s not loving enough. He never wants to stay over at my house, but I figure, if I just show him that I love him, he’ll love me back. How do I make him see it?”

It’s not about making him see it, it’s about making you see it. What you’re resisting is persisting. You’re resisting telling somebody that you won’t put up with this behavior anymore. So, their behavior persists. What you resist persists. Things don’t change. People don’t change unless they want to. They’re happy with their behaviors. They’re happy with the way the relationship is, yet you resist telling them the truth.

What you resist persists.

It’s time for you to fall forward, or fall back, or just fall. It’s time for you to clean house. Summer is almost over depending on where you live, and it’s time for you to clean things up, get rid of the relationships that don’t serve you. It’s time to get rid of the behaviors that no longer attract the right people into your life, because if you keep resisting these changes, they will keep persisting in your life.

I’m here to help you become the Mercedes Benz of you. That’s right. You want to be the Mercedes Benz of your life, and be the best you can be — at all times.
