Dunga, David,
In my part of the country everyone smiles at anyone they make eye contact with. It isn't considered flirty to smile -- it's just good manners.

Well, Texas insomniac here to talk to herself on the blog.

"They may also want to meet someone but they allow you first choice if you make the intial approach without making overtures to that person,

They are non competitive and they are all about being a good friend."

Man if ever there were a true statement...this is it! I have spoken about the girl who lays her claim on every looker in the place within 15 minutes of our entrance.

I honestly don't go out to hunt for anything but a little interaction and people watching and a lot of joking and laughter. I thrive off of good conversations and laughing!

I believe with all my heart if you are one to smile, say hello to everyone you pass and have fun laughing and mingleing with people...you are a magnetic force for observers of you. 1/2 the time I am unaware I am being looked at and a "friend" will point out the fact to me.

I am the man retriever a whole lot of the time...in the sense these women are afraid to talk to men. Hell now I have gotten so sick of it I will say some funny crap....then I get the "OHO" (spanish for evil eye) because the guy wants to laugh in my world.

Perfect solution is to be very choosey of who you go out with, and don't lay claim on every person who looks good. Pick a few, and leave something for someone else!

I have no problem with the ignorance nor the stupidity....THEY do! lol

Bria Dear;
lol The Barn Owls...this is an ongoing study in Benicia CA. Here is a synopsis of what it is all about, and right now on the cam they are face front (finally) and sleeping.
The video link is cool on you tube because you can go and see the actual video, as opposed to a flinch every 20 seconds.

"..The nestbox has been in use by Barn Owls for over a decade.
Between mating cycles, the Owls use the box for a roost. (A place to sleep during the day.)
2004 was the year we began observing the activity inside the box.

There is very limited access to the box, and the only openings in it are small holes
for the cameras and "The Front Door". As such, the Owls are pretty much left
to their business. If they want their nest littered with the bones and fur of their prey,
who are we to stop them?
Not to mention, they will use the stuff to make a lovely nest for their babies.
And when they decide its time to clean house, they just kick it all out the front door.
(just ask their downstairs neighbors!)

SOOOOOO...the barn owl....who gives a "hoot?" ME :P

DAVID:
I really love how deeply you love Daphne. That right there says volumes of what kind of man you are...and it is a good thing. ;)

Thank you all for your "condolences". I'm still grieving. :( She was very special. Despite all her health issues, she was relatively easy to care for. The vet was surprised she lived as long as she did. I wasn't. She was full of life.

David - I love your dog. She's been in some of the Utube videos and she's just great. She seems "settled" and content with you and her life. You and her seem to have a very special relationship. You will treasure it always even after she's gone.

Joan - the stories I could tell you from my animal welfare days would really piss you off!!! It's just heartbreaking. BUT, it is very rewarding to see ones get adopted into wonderful loving homes. I remember one cat that was abandoned by a family that had moved. The shelter was called b/c the realtor found him in the home when showing the property. He was eventually adopted by a family that had a 10year old boy that just adored him. You could tell they were gonna be buddies. Made all the shit worth it in the end.

What's up with these barn owls? LOL.

Later, Bria

LOL Well to be honest anyone whohas had a tste of my tongue has never had any complaint...moaning yes...but not in a grumbleing sense of the word. :P ;)

Bria Dear;

As much as I love animals and have rehabilitaded countless numbers since I was a young girl.....kudos to you for staying there so long.
I say I couldn't do it, but with love and adoration being the drive behind my actions....well I just might surprise myself and be better than I think at the heart part.

Now, who the he$$ is going to shoot a defensless animal with a BB gun?? Line their asses up and let me at em. They will WISH it were a gun popping a cap in their asses. I have been shot with a fully pumped up CO2 pellet gun, so I don't take at all kindly to seeing this crap done for "sport" or boredom coupled with hatred.

I came across some mid-teen boys one day when I was taking my dog for a walk. These litlle hood rats had a kitten in a tied up gym bag and were throwing it like a hardball around.
OHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOO!! I didn't think twice to lay into them with all 4's....the dogs 4's...LOL She was great...My "Tootsie"...she was smart and trained...by yours truly :P Between the dog and me, well we rescued a very, VERY abused kitten of about 6 weeks I would guess in age.

Ummmmm David;
Eeeeee I am sorry for taking this blog off into the animal kingdom at such debts I had to go see where i was at as far as thread content. lol

Animals are one of my many passions, so it is not hard to get lost in the moment.
You know honestly....I think life is my passion so anything that comes up....well I am prone to veer a bit....BUT I am not an emotional Tampon! LOL Hey I ended on threa and thats what "counts"....pun fully accidental... :P
