I got in my car and drove wherever for a month. I went from Houston to Key West to the Smoky Mountains to Yellowstone and then back home. Very intriguing. Are you in fact, on a hiatus with your new bride, or are you contemplating your future alone, as I have on several occasions throughout my life? You mentioned you were going through "some things" in an earlier post. Did you feel like you needed to get away, and think about your life's direction, rejuvenate, and meditate? Remember, you have a baby on the way, so need to get used to "screaming kids", and not let it raise your blood pressure, or be of concern. After raising two kids of my own, it is a normal part of parenting, and easy to get used to. Fortunately, after working for myself, pretty much 24/7 for over 25 years, I am in a position to do exactly as you ask, whenever I please. Believe it or not, after all my travels, sometimes with a dart hitting haphazardly on a map, it is always my favorite time, to be on the plane back to my home, where it is most comfortable for me to be. Like the saying goes, There really is "no place like home", wherever that may be, for each of us. What a great post David. Very intriguing.
