Let’s talk about money today.

How many of you would like to have more money?

I think if you asked every single person out there, no matter how rich or how poor they might be, the majority of people would say they want more money.

Have you ever thought about why certain people have money and other people don’t?

Do you wonder why your friends have so much more money than you?

What does it take to make a lot of money? Why are there some people that are just able to make oodles and oodles and oodles of cash?

I know people who are 30 years old and are paying cash for houses here in Los Angeles.

$3M and up.

How are they able to have so much money? What’s the difference between somebody who has a lot of money and somebody who’s struggling day-to-day?

Is it looks?

Is it how they were brought up?

What is the Secret to Making Money?

It seems like on any given day you can Google the term, “the secret to making money” and you can find thousands and thousands and thousands of secrets to making more cash, yet you can’t seem to figure out why it’s not working for you.

What’s the secret?

Is it working smart? Is it working more?

What is it? How can you make so much more than other people?

Do you want to be rich?

Today, I’m going to go over some of those secrets to making money and I’m going to open your eyes a little bit to what they are, how you can explode your wallet and how you can make your life so much easier.

We’ll talk about the secrets I learned a long, long time ago, and the secrets that I had trouble with, too – the secrets most people have trouble with.

Building a Relationship with Money

I grew up in a wealthy society in New York, but my dad had a very poor relationship with money.

He did not have a great relationship with it. He lived off my grandparents and was always short each month.

One year when I was a kid, my dad asked me what I wanted for my birthday.

The air conditioner in our house died the summer before and we were living in this house with no air conditioning in June of  a really hot summer. It was a big house. It was 2,500 square feet.

My father got the cash to fix the air conditioner from his parents, but he decided to use it to buy a country club membership instead.

That was my dad. A little selfish. All about him.

So I looked at him and I said, “Dad, we live in this big house, but people can’t come over here. We need an air conditioner. You’re not willing to pay for the air conditioning unit to be fixed, but I think we need to get some window air conditioners.”

So my father went out and got three window air conditioners – one of them for me, one for the den and one for his bedroom.

Mine was my birthday present. Happy birthday to me. I got a window air conditioner.

Maybe because of experiences like this one, I learned to form a relationship with money at a very early age.

I had a whole new relationship with money as I grew up and got older. I made many mistakes but I learned a lot of valuable lessons on the way.

I made money. I lost money. I saved and spent money, and yet I still couldn’t figure out how to have a good relationship with it. So today’s video is all about that. To tell you about my experiences and to teach you how to have a great relationship with money.
