Are you an ‘armchair quarterback?’ Are you constantly thinking about what somebody said, or are you interpreting things they said (or wish they had said)?

That is what an armchair quarterback does. An armchair quarterback will break down a conversation they had with a woman (or a man if you’re a woman).

If you are an armchair quarterback, what you’ll do is grab the ear of one of your friends and break down the entire exchange — line by line. What happens here is that you end up breaking down and interpreting the situation based on a want or a need, and you end up skewing it in your direction.

How many of you saw the Patriots destroy the Jets last night? I painfully watched each and every play and was in a state of horror throughout the game. But being a lifelong Jets fan, I have seen this many times before. The hype, the promise and then the big game meltdown.’

It’s funny. I was just in Whole Foods filming a little undercover video for my Community Site members. In this undercover video, Will was basically going around the store talking to people and then I would critique it.

How many of the guys reading this get a phone number from a woman, and then actually sit there and wonder when you should call her? You waste tons of time thinking about the “right” time to call, thinking “Should I wait 72 hours so I don’t look too anxious? Should I wait 24 hours, so I look not too anxious but look interested?”

I think I’m going to change professions.
