Time management is a great thing. How many of you are good at it?

I don’t always wear a watch and I barely look at the clock, but yet I get everything done that I need to each day. I don’t work eight hours a day either. I work less than that.

All of you see the amount of stuff that comes up on my site — videos, blogs, coaching and so forth. People sometimes ask me if I work 24/7, but the truth is that I don’t.

I’m just really good at managing my time. When I sit down at my desk to work, I sit down at my desk to work. I do not answer texts from friends. I don’t answer phone calls from friends during the day. I don’t answer emails from friends during the day. When I was single, I didn’t get on online dating sites and work on my dating life during the day.

When I sit down at my desk to work, I work. No disturbances.

I also put together a “to do” list with everything I need to get accomplished that day, and I get rid of everything on that list by the end of the day. When a work email or IM comes in, I answer it right away so it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle. If a customer emails me, I email them back right away if they have a question about a product or coaching.

If they send me a question and want free dating advice, I don’t answer that. I have coaching programs on my website. So to all the people who keep emailing me wanting free dating advice, I suggest you check out the 3 email coaching package I have for $99.00. Grab that and you will have my undivided attention.

Time management is really important, and so many people are so bad at it. They start a task, and then they get distracted — they turn on the television or the radio — and the next thing you know, the task isn’t getting done.

When I’m working I am working. Do not bother me or disturb me, and I’ll get everything done.

Sometimes I write thirty blogs in an hour. Crazy, isn’t it? I get it done, though, because I’m laser focused. When I’m creative, I don’t let anybody bother me.

So the next time your friends text you in the middle of the day or some girl wants to hook up later that night just tell her, “Look, I’m working right now. I’ll see you later. Looking forward to it!”

Stay laser focused in work and you will be successful in your career. True entrepreneurs are laser focused, and they don’t let anything disturb them and keep them from getting everything done. That’s what good time management is all about.

Multi-orgasmic. Multi-partners. Multitasking. Which “multi” do you think will make you more successful in life?

Now, granted, being multiorgasmic might feel the best. Being able to multitask, however, is something all of us try to do. A lot of people aren’t very good at it.

How many times have you been on the phone with someone, and you can hear them typing in the background. You say “I just chopped off my balls the other day,” to which they respond “Uh-huh.” You know at that point they aren’t really listening to you.

You say to them, “Are you doing something else?” They will always answer, “Yes, but I’m hearing every word you say. I’m multitasking.” You will think, “Really?! I just told you I my balls got cut off and all you said was ‘uh-huh’.”

I always say that the only way to be successful — whether it’s at meeting women or in business or whatever — is to focus on something 110% until it’s completed.

Here is how you can tell whether you are able to multitask. Are you someone who has twelve things on your “to do” list at the beginning of the day and still have eleven things on it at the end of the day because everything is halfway finished? If that is the case, then you are not good at multitasking.

When I go and I talk to people, especially when I coach guys about dating, I always tell them to get good at one thing at a time. Get good at one kind of approach or skill and master it. Then once you’ve mastered that, learn another skill to add to your repertoire.

Everyone always wants to multitask. The reality, however, is that most of us aren’t good at it yet.

Learn how to do one thing right at a time. Once you can do several thing great, then you think about multitasking.

You can thank Coach Jacob for this wonderful blog, because every time he tries to multitask I tell him to focus on one thing at a time. Learn to do that, and you’ll be far more powerful in everything you do.

I have written two recent blogs about my friend Jeff with whom I workout, and about the issues he had with asking out the woman he met who works at the bank. If you missed either of the first two blogs about this, you can check out the first blog HERE and the second blog HERE.

In those first two blogs, I went through some mindset stuff and about how exactly to go about asking out a woman who works at a bank (or someplace like that). I went through and analyzed, and showed how to get rid of, all of Jeff’s excuses for why he couldn’t ask that woman out.

This brings us to the third installment of this blog. So Jeff came over my house the other day and told me he finally asked out this woman. He said, “I asked her out in front of the entire bank, and it worked!”

I asked him what was really important about that. What was really important about that was not even so much that he asked this particular woman out. It was that he finally got out of his comfort zone, one he has been in for a very long time.

Sometimes in life you need to force yourself to get out of your own comfort zone. You have to stop thinking about things, and you must force yourself to do them.

It doesn’t matter what happens. In Jeff’s case, it wouldn’t have mattered whether that woman said yes or no.

A lot of guys spend so much time wondering (and worrying) what a woman will say, or what the outcome will be of something they are thinking about doing. They will think, “Will she say yes? I hope she says yes.”

The real lesson here is that it doesn’t matter what she says. The real lesson is that you decided to do it, and you did it. The real lesson is that you won simply because you did something that you normally wouldn’t do, and you actually trusted and believed in it.

So many guys spend so much time not trusting or believing the things that I tell them to do. It’s human nature.

When someone gives you a vision of the way your life should be, you immediately start getting negative and fearful because it’s different than your life has been. So you don’t trust that vision.

The reason you don’t trust that vision, though, is because you have to want that vision. You have to believe in that vision, and you have to find it for yourself.

After we worked through some of the fears and blockages, Jeff finally decided that he was just going to do it. That’s the key lesson here — that he did it.

He happened to get lucky that the first time he did it, the woman said yes. A lot of times, though, the first time you do something you won’t get the result for which you hope. You won’t get the yes.

If you keep your new vision and do things over and over and over again, though, you will no longer have anxiety and fear about doing it. When that happens, you start to actually believe you can do it. You won’t have to “make yourself” do it anymore.

Once you believe you can do something, you can do it any day, any place, anytime. There is no limit to what a person can do, except the things your own mind keeps you from doing.

Think about that today. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and do something that you’ve never done before.

Don’t worry and don’t care about the outcome. It’s not about you going out with a woman. That’s just an added benefit.

The outcome that’s important is that you finally did something you wouldn’t normally do. The outcome that’s important is that you overcame a fear and an anxiety, and you did something about it.

For those of you who know me personally, I’m going through something right now that is getting me to push myself further than I have in my entire life. It involves something I never thought I would do, something I never thought I wanted and something I never thought I would have.

I’m pushing myself way far out of my comfort zone. It gets easier and easier, because I am realizing the vision that other people are showing me and gaining the belief that I can do this. I’m starting to believe it, and that is the power of being the most incredible, powerful vision of you.

I think I'm going to change professions.

I think I’m going to change professions. As predicted here on Saturday, the Jets beat the Patriots on Sunday. I think I even predicted they would win by a touchdown (which was what happened).

So not only can I predict the outcome of your dates, I can predict the outcome of football games for you too. Regarding your dates, I predict that most of them probably won’t go really well. That’s not to be negative, but the majority of dates don’t go well.

The Jets are the only team not to allow an offensive touchdown this year. That impresses me. Do you know who impresses me more? Rex Ryan, the Jets’ coach.

So much of life is all about coaching — in football, basketball, baseball . . . and even in dating. Without the right mentor, coach and system in place, you’re never going to get good at anything.

Life is really all about having good systems — good belief systems and good coaching systems. There’s a reason why Bill Belichick makes the Patriots competitive no matter which players they lose. It’s the system he’s put in place. Every player believes in him and believes in being a Patriot.

Life is also all about your mindset. Yesterday I saw a good friend of mine, Dr. Wayne Dyer, speak. I really enjoyed it. Here’s a man who has lived 69 years with the right mindset and belief systems, and he’s accomplished everything in his life that he’s ever wanted.

Without the right mindset, coaching and guidance, people will remain lost. How many of you resist change? How many of you have trouble changing because of your belief system? How many of you fear change, but yet you desire it so much?

Who coaches you through your hard times? To whom do you go for advice?

How honest are you with yourself about the changes that need to be made in your life? Are you someone who repeats the same mistakes over and over again, yet you can’t figure out how to change that pattern?

It’s all about coaching. It’s all about implementing a belief system that can work for you, and a belief system that will still get you to make changes on a daily basis even if things don’t always work out for you.

The reason why the Jets won yesterday, was because they made changes to their game plan at halftime. They came out in the second half, and Mark Sanchez began throwing the ball. They got the lead, and then basically proceeded to shut the Patriots down for the rest of the second half.

How did they do this? They made changes necessary to dictate the flow of the game in their favor.

Can you dictate the flow of your life in your favor? Can you do it even after frustrating things and setbacks happen to you? Can you recover quickly from rejection, or do you allow it to torture you all day long?

When something doesn’t go my way, I recover instantly. I shake it off as any good well-coached person will do.

I don’t allow things to affect me for any longer than they need to affect me. Whatever happens to me affects me in the moment, then I get over it and don’t remember even five minutes later why I was so shaken.

The systems I’m talking about are not some kind of magic system to pick up men or women. It’s about having a belief system. It’s about having the right belief system.

What is your belief system? What changes do you need to make in order to accomplish everything you want?

Wayne said is really well yesterday. He said that we should all spend the last five minutes of each day before we go to sleep imagining how we want the next day to be, imagining how we want our life to be, and imagining how that will feel.

You don’t want to spend the end of your days thinking about what didn’t get done, what you messed up and what you haven’t achieved. By thinking this way, a lot of you are programming yourself to be in a constant state of panic (that begins from the moment you wake up).

So today on this Monday, I challenge all of you to write down all the things you want to change, and how you will feel when you implement those changes.

For those of you who are looking to bet on tonight’s game — because you know I am a master handicapper — the game will be a lot closer than you think. The Colts, however, will squeeze out a win when the Dolphins forget to throw to Ted Ginn.
