I want to share something really personal with all of you today. I’m going to share a side of me that many of you don’t know and would not expect.
I sometimes feel like I’m 98½ years old

This is in follow up to my recent blog about women hunters. Most women are very passive waiters, meaning that they always sit back and wait for men to approach them.
Think about the moment when you see “that guy” — that confident, good-looking guy — who walks over to you and says something really cute and clever. Maybe you were in Starbucks looking for something to eat, and you were indecisive about whether you wanted a muffin or a scone.

Are you out there trying to meet new people but you just can’t bring yourself to do it? Do you think bad things will happen if you approach a woman?

“I can’t.” Are these words in your vocabulary?
Do you ever say to yourself, “Man I’d really love to go talk to that woman I’m really attracted to over there, but I just can’t do it?” If you’re a woman, do you hear dating advice telling you that you need to more of a huntress with men and think “I can’t do that?”

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Are you thinking to yourself, “What do I do? This is my first Valentine’s Day alone in a long time.”
Are you newly single or is the ink still wet on your divorce papers as this Valentine’s Day approaches? If so, is this making you wonder what to do on Valentine’s Day?
You feel lonely. You think about maybe getting the kids together and having a party. You even think for a second about calling your ex to see what they are up to.

From where does the term “Black Friday” come? Black Friday. It sounds so bleak. Why can’t it be Yellow Friday, since it’s sunny and happy and all the stores are advertising that they are giving away stuff (that they’re not really giving away). Well, it’s true. You have to wake up at 1:00 in the morning, be first in line, and be armed with a great pair of track shoes so you can sprint faster than everyone else to get the one and only plasma television they are selling for $529.00. Here’s something, though, about which probably none of you are thinking on Black Friday.

“What are you doing tonight?” “I don’t know. Not much. I think I’m just going to stay home, watch a movie, maybe grab some dinner. Nothing special. What are you doing tonight?” “I’m going to go dancing with all my friends. We’re going to go out partying and have a good time.” How does it [...]

What are the best “single cities?” All of you right now are probably anticipating me busting out David Wygant’s list of the best cities for singles, and wondering if your city is going to be on it. Is New York going to be on it? Is San Francisco going to be on it? Is the percentage of men in Boulder, Colorado too high to live there?

I get tons of emails from both men and women asking me one major question: “David, What can I do to meet more people?” Then these emails usually will go on to explain all of the places they go just to meet people. They’ll say, “I just can’t figure it out. I go to bars. I go to parties. I go to all the “it” places.
