So you’re at a Christmas party and you want to meet people?

How do you think this Christmas party is any different compared to other parties?

They’re the exact same thing. You’ve got to go out, you’ve got to enjoy yourself, you’ve got to be social, you’ve got to meet people, you’ve got to talk to everybody, you’ve got to smile.
You’ve got to walk over to women right from the get-go and basically base your conversation on an observation you’ve made. It’s not any different. Christmas parties are exactly the same as other parties.

Somebody e-mailed me the other day and asked me, “How do you hook up at a Christmas party?” It’s no different guys, it really isn’t. It’s about using the same techniques that I’ve been teaching here ever since I started this blog.
You have to stop thinking that things are so different in different situations. It’s not different. It’s always your mind set that needs to change. You need to go to every single party the exact same way. You need to walk into that party, you need to talk to people, you need to relate to people and have fun, you need to show women you’re the kind of guy who knows how to have a good time.

Talk to men. Talk to women. And when you see someone you’re attracted to, walk over to them directly from the get-go based on an observation you’ve made, and just start talking. It’s not any different.

Sure, during Christmas time maybe you could wear a Santa cap. You could carry around a mistletoe. You could be cute like that, you could do all those things, or you could walk around with a stocking full of little gimmick gifts to give out at the party. But the bottom line is, it’s all about communication. And if you’re not great at it, you’d better learn, by clicking right here.

Memorial Day weekend is coming, and with it the start of an amazing summer for you.

I’m sure you’ve all got plans. I’m sure you all have the mindset that it’s going to be a great summer, because summer is the time when people are friendlier and you can meet people.

Have you ever thought about this though: Wherever you are, there you are.

I think that people are just really uptight at this time of the year. It’s not because they don’t have someone with whom to celebrate the holidays on account of not knowing how to meet someone. There is a whole other thing going on with people this time of the year.

Why can’t you say “Merry Christmas” anymore? Does it rub Jewish people the wrong way? I am Jewish, and it doesn’t offend me at all.

When someone says Merry Christmas to me, I don’t correct them. I wish them a Merry Christmas (and maybe a Happy Hanukkah) right back.

Somewhere along the line, we have all gotten so screwed up. We aren’t allowed to wish people a Merry Christmas anymore . . . even if you know the person you’re saying it to celebrates Christmas!

You have to sound like a Hallmark card and say “Happy Holidays” or like a Lexus car commercial and say “Seasons Greetings.” Maybe we should all wear a big red bow on our head too.

So if you see me, I will wish you a Merry Christmas. I am Jewish and I am going to say it. I think it’s fun.

If someone gets insulted when they hear Merry Christmas, they need to think why they are insulted. Virtually everyone who says it, intends it to be a friendly sentiment. So, lighten up! It’s the holiday time after all.

You can say “Happy New Year.” That is allowed.

Why don’t we find one greeting that combines these together. We will market the heck out of it in the coming years.

So how does this relate to dating and meeting people? Well, isn’t this a great topic of conversation to have with people while you’re standing in shopping lines or waiting for your food somewhere?

You can say, “Wow, no one says Merry Christmas anymore…” See, you just started a conversation. I can always turn a topic around and apply it to dating.

So from me to you, may I wish you all a Merry Seasons Greetings and Happy Dating Holidays!

Also, for all of you who are on my email list, be sure to check your email inbox today because I sent you a very special offer. (If you’re not on my email list and would like to get on it, all you’ve got to do is put your name and email address in at the top of the page)

Can you believe that we are only about three weeks away from Christmas? I always tell people that this is the time of the year, as we near the end of the year, when you look back on the past twelve months and think to yourself, “Oh my God, what did I not accomplish this year?”

You do this about your business, and you do it about your emotions. I go through a really powerful lesson emotionally every year. It is a time when you get connected to yourself.

The holiday time is probably the best time to meet people because everybody is full of emotions. Whether you’re a man or a woman, the only way you are ever really going to really connect with people is based on emotion.

We are emotional creatures. We are emotional beings. Women certainly want to connect with men emotionally. Men want to connect with women in the same way, except they just don’t want to admit it.

In today’s podcast we are going to go through something related to this that you really need to explore. It’s called getting in touch with your emotions.

You really need to do this so that this holiday season doesn’t end with you staring into the eyes of your drunken buddy on New Year’s Eve, and wondering why neither of you are kissing someone as you are counting down 5-4-3-2-1. Do you want your New Year’s Eve photo to be you embracing someone amazing, or another photo of you embracing the same group of single friends?

We are going to get you to tap into your emotions today. Once you do that, you are going to see the world in a whole different way!

Here is the second of three “Valentine-Related” blogs I’m posting this year.

Also, while we’re on the topic of Valentine’s Day, I want to give all of you a “heads-up” about an AMAZING hour long video Coach Kimberly and I have created for YOU all about Valentine’s Day — but with an interesting twist.

It’s fun and you don’t want to miss it! So if you’re not on my newsletter list, get on it RIGHT AWAY so you will be notified when it becomes available! (To get on my list, simply go to the blue box at the top right corner of each page of the site and sign up)

OK, now back to today’s blog . . .

If anyone reading this has read me for a while, you may have seen me in the past refer to Valentine’s Day as “Happy Hallmark Day.” Some of my readers thought this meant that I am anti-Valentine’s Day.

So let me clear this up now. I am anti-Valentine’s DAY . . . but I am very much PRO Valentine. Here’s what I mean.

I for one believe that you don’t need a special day in the middle of February to celebrate your relationship and your love . . . or to give that microchip-sized diamond pendant from that jewelry chain that barrages the airwaves with non-stop advertisements around the time of every holiday. Half of you are still paying off the bills you incurred at Christmas telling your sweetheart you love them.

Do you know when I loved Valentine’s Day? I loved it when I was a kid and I got to go to school with my box of Valentine’s Day cards to give to everyone. You know the ones I’m talking about – the ones where the whole box costs about $2.00 and contains little cards that say “Be My Valentine” coming out of Snoopy’s mouth.

Reflecting back on that, and in light of the economic times in which we’re all living, it reminded me that Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to act like a kid and be creative in finding ways to make our Valentine feel special. In fact, there are many things you can do on Valentine’s Day for your Valentine that cost very little money, but will make your Valentine feel just as special (if not more special) than many of the things we do when we’re on a larger budget.

So if you are on a tight budget this year, don’t let it worry you. You can create an amazing Valentine’s Day this year. Here are five ways you can make your Valentine feel special even if you’re on a budget.

1. Do A Valentine Card Scavenger Hunt: Since you probably aren’t spending Valentine’s Day with your entire elementary school class, planning to pass out those little kid Valentine’s Day cards is probably not going to be on the agenda. You can still use those cards with your Valentine, though, to do something really special. Get a box of those little kid cards, and create a scavenger hunt.

Write a different note on each one and seal it in its own envelope. So on the first card you might write “Welcome to your Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt.” Then continue to build the clues. Slip in some “I love you’s” along the way, and end with something like “Meet me at ____ place at 6:00 p.m.” Have it end with them meeting you at some favorite spot of theirs or of you both.

2. Have An Indoor Picnic: Another thing to do is to have a picnic in your home, which is a perfect thing to do in the middle of winter. Most people don’t think about picnics in the middle of winter, so having one in the middle of winter is a lot of the fun of it. When you do it, make the presentation fun and cute. Get flowers and make a little indoor garden. Lay out the blanket. Go the whole nine yards. Your Valentine will love it.

3. Have a Sweetheart’s Ball: Even when you have a Valentine, it is great to spend the day helping other friends to find the kind of love you have with your Valentine. Have a party – call it a Sweetheart’s Ball – and have everyone you invite bring someone who is looking for a sweetheart. Find the people in your life who really want to meet someone and and invite them to the party. Helping others find love will remind the two of you of how special your relationship is and how much your love means to each other. It’s also a lot of fun!

4. Table For Two Dinner: A great way to celebrate your special Valentine is to create an amazing dinner for them. When I say “create,” what I mean is for YOU to cook it. Cook your Valentine’s favorite meal. Set a really beautiful table. Light some candles. Do the whole production. It doesn’t matter how the meal turns out really. Anyone can call and make a reservation (and pay double because it’s Valentine’s Day). Your effort to create this for them will make your Valentine feel really special, and will be a lot of fun.

5. Create A Private Spa: There is nothing like pampering to make anyone feel special. So for this occasion, think about creating a private spa inside your own home. Give your Valentine a really long and sensual massage. Have a bubble bath. Whatever you choose, take time to make the atmosphere (and yourself) an incredible experience. Light scented candles. Use really amazing massage oil. Put on some soft music. Dress in something sexy yourself (whether you’re a man or a woman). Make the evening all about making your Valentine feel really special.

These are just some ideas for ways to be creative and to create a really special Valentine’s Day if you’re on a budget. Certainly there are countless other ideas that you may come up with that your Valentine would enjoy.

The main thing to remember that doing things like these illustrate, is that your Valentine will appreciate these things as much (if not more) than things which cost more money because of the amount of time, thought and effort that were required to do them. It is when you give those things to your Valentine that you will make them feel really special.

Over the river and through Whole Foods to anyone’s house we go …

So on this Thanksgiving Day, I wanted to share with all of you my take on the day — as well as a little personal message from me.

Did you sing that song as a kid — you know, the “Over The River And Through The Woods To Grandmother’s House We Go …” song? I never really understood the “over the river and through the woods” analogy for Thanksgiving because my Grandmother made the driest turkey this side of the Sahara Desert.

We’re about to head into the holiday season. Six weeks of tedious annoying Zales Jewelers commercials, not to mention that lovely $69.00 diamond pendant with diamonds the size of bedbugs.

What Thanksgiving really kicks off (other than the end of the Chargers’ playoff hopes) is the start of the most vulnerable six weeks of the year for singles. Let’s call it “the quest to meet someone before 5-4-3-2-1 woo hoo Happy New Year!”

I’ve had some great Thanksgiving Days though. I remember a few years ago when I had nothing going on for Thanksgiving. So I walked into Whole Foods the day before Thanksgiving and I picked up my Thanksgiving dinner: a box of Peanut Butter Bumpers and soy milk.

As I was looking for some pumpkin pie to finish off my sugar rush, I bumped into this really sexy woman who had a cart full of some really great looking food. So I started a conversation with her:

DW:	“Your dinner looks a lot better than mine.”
Her:	“Please tell me that’s not your Thanksgiving dinner.”
DW:	“I’d love to tell you it’s not not my Thanksgiving dinner, but that would be a lie. I was going to get Cruchberries, but they were out of them. Crunchberries remind me of my Grandmother’s cranberry sauce and dried out turkey.”

We proceeded to talk, and she said that she refused to let me eat Peanut Butter Bumpers for Thanksgiving … and I got invited to a Thanksgiving night party with her and seven of her friends.

I have a confession to make to all of you — I’ve done that every year I’ve been single.

I actually enjoy spending Thanksgiving with total strangers. I mean, didn’t the pilgrims do that before they killed all the Indians? Then again, my knowledge of history is a little poor at times …

So if you want to know where I’ll be today, I will be spending the day with my girlfriend and having dinner with friends.

On a more serious note, I do want to wish all of you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful, and I am thankful for many things this year. A thanks to all of you for letting me come into your hearts, minds … and your computer screens this year.

Also, a special thank you to all the guys who — once again in overwhelmingly large numbers — were kind enough to send me the feedback I requested yesterday for the upcoming launch of my membership site.

So Enjoy Turkey Day!
