Is it okay to date a friend’s ex-girlfriend, ex-wife, or ex-f*^kbuddy? Here’s the way I look at it.

There’s a two letter word in the English language: “Ex.” Nobody is anyone else’s property. Nobody.

Now, granted, you don’t want to go out and sleep with your friend’s ex-girlfriend the night after they break up. There needs to be some time that elapses.

I truly believe that you can date anyone, as long as the person who used to date them is okay. Here’s what I mean.

Let’s say your best friend dated someone for six months. It didn’t work out, and now your friend has processed the relationship, realized why it didn’t work out, and is now dating other people. In that situation, there is no reason why you can’t go out with his ex-girlfriend if you want to do so.

Nobody is anybody else’s property. Just because you dated somebody in March of 2010 does not mean that nobody else can date them in September of 2010.

It doesn’t make any sense at all. If you think about it, this person wasn’t right for you (as evidenced by the fact that you broke up). You’re no longer having sex with them, dating them or hanging out with them.

One of your friends, though, maybe got along with that person really well back when you all used to hang out together. They actually probably would have been a better couple than the two of you were. The problem is that you met her first.

There is no rule that the first one to meet her is the last one to date her. So, as far as I’m concerned, the minute someone goes back into the dating pool anyone can swim with them.

Let’s stop with these silly rules. If you are not sure about it, then sit down with your friend and say, “Hey, look, how would you feel if I dated Ginger (or MaryAnn or whoever)?” If your best friend is the Skipper or the Professor, then you’ll understand that.

Childhood TV Crushes
By David Wygant

Do you remember being a kid, and sitting around with a bunch of your friends debating about whether you would rather sleep with Mary Ann or Ginger from Gilligan’s Island (or listening to boys have such a discussion if you’re a woman)? My opinion varied – some days Ginger just absolutely got to me, while others I just felt that Mary Ann was just as cute as can be in those little shorts she wore.

The thing about this Gilligan’s Island debate, is that no one ever did a version for the girls. You never heard anyone ask girls whether they would rather sleep with The Skipper or Professor Roy Hinkley (“The Professor”). You certainly couldn’t have sex with Mr. Howell. So I wonder whether women would choose to sleep with The Skipper or The Professor?

What I always found funny about Gilligan’s Island, was that The Howells, Ginger and Mary Ann all seemed to have brought a wardrobe of clothes while The Skipper, The Professor and Gilligan always wore the same outfit. I know The Skipper always had on the same blue shirt and light pants. I don’t think I ever saw The Professor wearing anything but those same chinos and white oxford. Gilligan of course sported that same orange shirt, white pants and white hat.

Women are so fashion conscious, so I wonder whether they would be turned on more by The Skipper, Gilligan or The Professor. I’d love to know the answer to this, because as men we have always debated the Ginger/Mary Ann question.

I know I also used to think that Samantha on Bewitched was really cute. I remember as a little kid I used to wish I could shrink myself to six inches tall so I could fit in a bottle and have sex with Jeannie (from I Dream of Jeannie).

I thought that nothing could be cooler than being six inches tall and going at it in that bottle, especially because that bottle always seemed so erotic the way it was decorated with all those pillows and cushions. I mean, how great would sex be in that bottle?! Did women ever think about having sex with Major Nelson, Major Healey, or even with Dr. Bellows?

How about TV action shows? Did you have a crush on anyone in one of those shows as a kid?

I know I loved the character Jamie Sommers in The Bionic Woman, but did women feel that way about the character Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man? Did it turn women on in that episode of The Six Million Dollar Man when Steve Austin fought Big Foot (who was played by Andre the Giant)?

What about Dwayne F. Schneider from One Day At A Time? Did any of you women have have a crush on him? I know I was turned on by Valerie Bertinelli’s character on that show.

I wonder whether any women’s tv crushes ran a bit more toward the bizarre, and they wanted to hit it with Tattoo from Fantasy Island. Fantasy Island was just a really creepy show altogether. Think about some of the things they did to people on Fantasy Island. There was always some sort of evil fantasy where Mr. Roarke was torturing people. It was definitely a bizarre show.

The Love Boat had quite a big cast and a number of potential crushes. While most men probably fantasized about cruise director Julie McCoy, I’m not sure if the women would have been more turned on by Doc, Isaac, Gopher . . . or even Captain Stubbing.

What about Happy Days? There weren’t too many women characters on that show on whom men could have a crush, but I wonder whether women liked Richie, Potsie, Ralph Malph or if they all had the hots for Fonzie. Was Fonzie really that cool? I mean, if he snapped his fingers, would you jump and run into his arms?

Then there was Laverne & Shirley. Were there any men who found them attractive? What did Lenny and Squiggy say every time they walked in Laverne and Shirley’s door? I could never remember that.

So, what was your favorite tv show as a kid, and on which character(s) did you have the biggest crush? Which ones did you think were cute? With which characters did you just want to jump in the sack, and with which ones did you have date fantasies?

Most of my tv examples have been ones from when I was a kid, but how about all of you who are a bit younger than me. For those of you who were born in the 70s and 80s (and, God forbid, even the 90s!), for which tv characters did you have the hots?

You know, did you have a crush on Arnold (“What you talkin’ about Willis?”) Jackson from Diff’rent Strokes? Maybe you liked his siblings Willis or Kimberly? What about Michael J. Fox’s Alex P. Keaton character on Family Ties? How about Cosby kids Theo or Denise from The Cosby Show? Even more recent, how about the all-time favorite guy crush on Alyssa Milano playing Samantha Micelli on Who’s The Boss?

So I want to hear from all of you now. When you were a kid, with whom would did you dream of meeting and having a little fling? Who was your favorite childhood tv crush?

Todays Video is all about how to meet women at the beach, lake, pool or park this summer.

Who knows maybe you will even meet a woman on the Love Boat!!
