What an amazing day so far.

Do you know what the definition of an amazing day is?

An amazing day is when you wake up past your alarm, which I did this morning.

It was an amazing morning because I woke up next to the woman that I love and then took Daphne for a walk on the beach. I am going to head back to the beach and do some cardio then off to buy a new beach cruiser bike.
What else am i going to do.

I have some errands to run and then tonight I am taking my girl to her favorite place to eat.

Its a Saturday and I am going to appreciate and enjoy every moment. I am going to engage people and enjoy conversations with strangers. I am going to ignore the blackberry and be 100% present where am it each step of the way.

It’s all about taking every single moment and appreciating it.

That’s the definition of a beautiful day: being able to appreciate every little thing around you. Appreciating every visual stimulus around you – from beautiful women to great friends to amazing trees, the ocean, everything! It’s about really taking it all in.

When you’re out there in your world, do you really take it all in? Do you take in every little bit of every single day? Do you really appreciate it and stay present in the moment?

You knew there was a lesson in this blog somewhere and the lesson is this: go out there and take in every little thing.

Count the stars in the sky. Look at the trees on the street. Take a look at the water that is around you. Look at the color of the sky. Look at everything that is around you.

Become observant in everything in your life. The more observant you become, the more that you’ll have to talk to people about. The more you can talk to people, the stronger your connections with them will be and the less time you will be stuck in your head.

Todays video is all about how to look your best on your amazing days.

Your goal on a Sunday (you can do it on a Saturday too) is to take yourself out on a date all day long.

I used to do this when I lived in Manhattan. I would wake up at 10:30, take a shower, and then decide which direction I was going to go that day. I’d go left, I’d go right, or I’d go straight.

My goal was to meet as many new people as I could that day – to build up my social network, so then I would be able to go and meet some great women.

So your goal tomorrow is to meet 20 new people. Take a notebook with you, and after you meet someone new, I want you to write down exactly what you remember about him or her. “I met this woman on the beach, and she got her little booties all wet, blah blah blah.”

Write down something personal that you remember about them, so that the next time you run into them again, you can go back and say, “hey, Wet Boot Girl, how are you?” “Hey Sand Castle Girl, what’s up?”

You have 20 people you have to meet and then write it down. You’re going to do this every single Sunday by yourself. Blow off your friends and take yourself out to places like Whole Foods, the malls, the beach, whatever.

Meet men, women, children – everyone. If you do this four Sundays in a row – wait, it is football season, do it on Saturday! If you do this four Saturdays in a row, you’ve just met 80 new people.

Do you think out of 80 people you might be able to find one woman that you want to go out with?

And during the course of those four Saturdays, you’re going to be running into these same people again, and then you’ll get to meet the people they have with them. It’s like adding fingers to your network.

In LA, maybe we can get together small little groups and just go up to Silver Lake for the day and hang out. We can just go up there and meet people in Silver Lake.

This is how you build your network up, and get exactly what you want to get out of it without the crappy part of actually having to go and pick them up. When you go out and talk to people all day long, your brain is stimulated and you don’t think about the fear.

So if you do this every Saturday, by the end of the month you will have met 80 new people.

How Do You Know When It’s Love?
By David Wygant

What does love mean to you? What is the definition of love? What do you feel like when you’re in love? What I’m really asking here is what is real love?

You know, it’s funny. Love has so many different angles, different sides and different feelings attached to it. There are also different kinds of love. There is romantic love and there is fantasy love.

To me, love is finding somebody with whom you just connect and with whom you are at total peace in every single way. Being at peace with someone in every single way happens in all different little ways.

It is holding hands with them as you walk down the street while still keeping your full identity.

It is sitting next to them on the airplane looking at them and watching them laugh, and realizing that their laughter really makes you smile.

It is watching them fall asleep and enjoying how they look curled up in a little ball on the bed all comfortable and warm.

It means protecting them when things aren’t good.

It is loving how their eyes light up when you do special things for them, like buying them a pair of earrings at a farmer’s market.

Love is about sharing yourself and about giving yourself freely to someone. Love is about really embracing the gift that somebody gives you.

Sometimes we’re not ready for that gift of love. Sometimes we’re not capable of giving back.

The moment you realize you love somebody, is the moment when you feel peace when you look at them and when you see yourself in them. It’s really nice to get to know somebody in every way and respect them.

There is no “one perfect person” in this world for anybody. There is no perfect relationship out there.

So if you find someone to whom you can truly relate, someone who really makes your heart go “thump thump,” and someone whom you think is the most beautiful person in the world to you every time you see them walk into a room, then that is the person with whom you should be spending the rest of your time. That is the person with whom you need to build a life.

Love has its ups and downs. Sometimes love may falter and then come back even stronger. Sometimes love loses faith in order to regain it stronger down the road.

What love is entirely without is judgment. You will never judge your lover for a journey they needed to take. You will never judge your lover for things that they need to do.

You just embrace your lover. You will always listen to your lover, because to truly love somebody is to understand where they’re at in their life, what they need to do, and how they need certain experiences.

When you find someone you truly love, things may not go in textbook order or work out according to plan. It may not work out at all for a period of time. If you realize you love someone, though, you better do everything in your power to make sure you never lose that person.

There is nothing worse than seeing someone you love walking down the street arm-in-arm with somebody else, and realizing that you lost that person because you let your ego or your stubbornness get in the way. That thought alone will drive you crazy forever and ever.

When you love somebody, you better embrace them before you lose them. What eventually happens in life if you someone and you’re not with them, is that they will find someone else to love them. So you better take hold of that love before it’s too late.

I thought I’d go a different route with all of you today, because the definition of love means so many different things to different people. So now I want to hear from you. What’s your definition of love? How do you feel when you’re in love? What type of love do you want to experience?

Own the Place by David Wygant

Have you ever been to a place over and over again, yet you still feel like you’re going there for the very first time?

It’s because you don’t own the place. You have to own the place. You have to own the territories that you go in.

For instance, we’re walking right now down some street onto Main Street for the Farmer’s Market. Hollister – Hollister and 2nd, for all of you people in Santa Monica. And what we do on Sundays is go to this Farmer’s Market.

This market is great – it has pancakes, eggs, muffins, and tons of people walking around.

But plain and simple: when we come here, we are so comfortable with everything around here. We’ve walked Main Street every Sunday just having a good time, and we own it.

So when we walk, we talk to everybody that we see – every single person that we see, and it’s very easy for us because we’re aware of everything. We’ve been here; we know the food, we own every place that we go to.

You’ve got to start owning the places that you go to. If you go to a place on a regular basis, you have to own it. You have to get to know everybody there, and talk to everybody there – because if you’re going there on a regular basis, other people are too, and you can meet a new network of friends and contacts.
