Most businesses during this time of year do a lot of year-end inventory.
They check and see whether or not they made the sales they needed to. They check and see what they need to order in the new year. The bookkeepers are frantically crunching numbers so they can get taxes done.
It’s inventory time. The world is taking inventory right now and figuring out what they need for next year. Businesses are figuring out what their cash flow is. Hotels are frantically trying to sell hotel rooms. Households are trying to make just a little more money to close out the year and make sure it was a great year.
And women are looking around and basically thinking….

We have a generation that’s missing something.
We actually have a couple generations now that are missing things. Anybody born after the year 1980 is missing something. That thing is one of the beauties of making life work. It’s called the art of communication.
I see high school kids constantly on their phones texting. I see kids texting at age seven. I even saw a grandfather the other day in an elevator playing on his phone while his grandson was standing there bored. We’ve become a society of texters….

I was sitting at home watching the Broncos game last Sunday.
I’m not a Broncos fan, I’m a Jets fan. So I’m sitting here watching the game with four minutes and 30 seconds to go. They are losing 10 to nothing.
I’m thinking to myself…..

How many of you actually trust your gut when it pertains to life and dating?
Well, when it comes down to dating, we don’t trust our guts at all. All of the sudden we see someone who we’re attracted to, we want to talk to them and we come up with something clever or relevant to say. But then we don’t trust our guts. We don’t act upon it, we don’t pull the trigger…..

Today I was driving around and I was listening to U2′s “With or Without You” in my car.
Sirius radio is great because you can just scroll right over the display and it gives you the name of the music that’s playing and the year. And while I scrolled over the song, I realized that With or Without You was a song that came out in 1987.
I remember listening to that song, I was 25 at the time and I had either just gotten broken up with or I had met somebody…..

Long holiday weekend, great Jets game so today I thought we would start the week with some dating humor.
