David, not all people go to strip clubs to get laid!! When I go there with a bunch of my friends, we grab a drink, sit, chat, and watch pretty fit naked girls dancing. With that kind of reasoning and logic you have used in your article, you will soon ask why people to watch football? why people go out if they do not get laid…..

Even many of the men who go to strip clubs have girlfriend/wife and they don’t go there to get laid.

Take this advice from me as one of your fans: your best articles are those that you do NOT judge other people in them and accordingly your worst articles are those in which you try to JUDGE other people.

Every one of us have our own tastes and different ways of enjoying life. What makes me sad reading some of your articles is that you not only judge other people’s lifestyles so brutally but make fun and laugh at them. Instead of judging each other lets try to understand each other first.

I just came across your site today, so I’m late entering in to this discussion, but I have a great time going to a strip club with my friends. I’d rather not see a stripper jiggle her booty in my face or get an up close & personal view of her vagina. But the dancers … not strippers … the ladies who actually know hot to dance are so graceful and sensual. Exotic dance, when done well, is challenging and they make it look great. I am all about a great pole trick. I have never once had a lengthy conversation with a stripper or met a guy that I wanted to see again at a strip club, so I don’t go there with the intention of hooking up. For me it’s more about enjoying the arousal and living in that fantasy world for a night .. and maybe learn a few new moves to show off for the guy in my life.

my goodness bertie, are you serious? sounds like a dicatorship for twenty years…good to be free aye? rustic is a good thing , i means you dont mind getting your feet wet. you’re a tomboy (i’m guessing).
what you need berite is a man, who know who to take care of a woman, doesnt matter if you’re on call, or worked a twelve hour shift. you need a guy who going to be there regardless, to rub your feet or curl up with you and listen to you about how your day was. you need someone to treat you right bertie. i think you desire it, you work you ass off in a job with takes alot of dedication and long hours…
you’re right knowledgeable and well read people are attractive..

Not being a man, I’m not sure I should be commenting on this blog … but there is one thing that I want to share. My former personal trainer was a very good looking bodybuilder and former Mr. Virginia. Having trained with him three days a week for four years, I can tell you that he had NO trouble attracting women and, in fact, got plenty of “action” from many beautiful women.

He used to frequent strip clubs on average two to three times a month. While I never “objected” on principle to the fact that he did this, I was always puzzled by why he was interested in going. I always used to ask him “You have NO trouble getting women. Why would you want to spend your night with these women (at the strip club), when you could be meeting women you could actually be going out with or having sex with?”

He never really gave me an answer … but it never made intuitive sense to me.

Ah Joe, its ok. I really don’t want someone who is going to try to walk all over me. I used to be married to a correctional officer. He didn’t mind if I led our entire lives so long as it turned out just the way he wanted. We all had to be good boys and girls around the house. You couldn’t really make any noise if he was watching tv and heaven forbid you should say something if he was reading, which thankfully wasn’t often. A good thing if the world has to stop when someone is reading, but a pity because I do find someone who is knowledgeable and well read very attractive. I am sure there are a few out there who aren’t the epitome of 1950′s macho, but the only ones I’ve met that aren’t are married. I’ve learned that its ok to not go with the crowd. That running with scissors, counting your chickens before they hatch, and attempting to go after two birds in the bushes is really ok with me. I’ve never been called rustic before…I’m hoping that’s a good thing. After all that I have to consider that not many men want a woman who spends three twelve hour days for one employer and then at least a full 24 hours straight on call for another, and when the nursing department is short an instructor, I sometimes teach. Not to mention that I sometimes get called out in the middle of the night when I’m on call and I fly wherever. Then I get home, can’t sleep and talk to myself in blogland. The first job pays the bills and the other two feed that part of my soul that needs change. Not many are ready for that here in this small town. I’m pretty easy to find. Go to the very northwest corner of California. I live about 20 miles from the CA-OR border.

Joan i hear ya, my depression/ocd is like exact like your fibromayalia, you have to take it one day at a time, and some days are better then others… you just cant let get the best of you. no Joan i’ve havent been writing alot lately. i’ve been thinking alot, but nothing solid.. i’m glad your kicking stuff around Joan. it’s good for the mind, jogs the brain and inspires…
