Not a one for one related story but my partner and I were talking last night about the dating site we just launched and I started talking about opening up another niche site to try and get the business moving quicker. We talked about names for a little while and thought that the niche site was overall a good idea. I was ready to register the domain when my partner stopped me. Making a new site at this point when our first launch wasn't yet ramen profitable would just dilute the development and marketing time I could give to either site. Opening up new sites this fast would hurt every site we owned. Staying focused when things aren't going as fast as you want is difficult but very important. Thanks for sharing your own startup problems with your partner at the time. It's good to know that others have trials and tribulations too.

The biggest piece of bullshit I am doing right now is not getting my act together and start getting focused on weight loss. This stagnant way of thinking, funny enough so easily creeps into other aspects of my life. If you can convince yourself of one kind avoidance, then you end up letting it happen in other areas too. As anything you start in on place and make it an focused effort and soon it should be a habit.

Great blog. Most of us are scared to tell people what we think to their faces... being passive aggressive leads to frustrations which can be avoided if they are tackled earlier. Being honest and up front with people will make them respect you more as they know exactly where you're coming from and you might be able to work out your differences. They may not like what you say, so what? It's better than getting frustrated and bitching about them behind their back.

Look at all the main male characters in modern drama shows. Jack and Sawyer from Lost are not afraid to tell someone they need to pull their weight on the island. Jack Bauer is not afraid to tell his colleagues he doesn't agree with their approach to work.
