A lot of people spend so much time masturbating – they spend so much time physically pleasuring themselves. But really, the best form of masturbation is mental masturbation.
How do you mentally get off? What do you do in life to really stimulate your brain? To stimulate your mind? To stimulate your soul? Are you constantly working, constantly building up a life, but yet not doing anything to mentally masturbate?
And what do I mean by the term ‘mental masturbation?’ I mean, how do you enjoy your mind? How do you enhance your mind?
Think for a second: when is the last time you went on a trip? When is the last time that you did something that you really wanted to do – without any rules and regulations?
How many of you work really hard but never take vacation time? How many of you make money but never really spend it on things that you want? Even when you’re in the store, you debate about whether or not you should buy it. You debate about whether or not you deserve it.
My motto is that if you work really hard, you deserve everything that you can do.
You need to start masturbating your mind. You need to start enjoying things. You need to make a list of five places that you want to go, five things that you want to experience that you’ve never done before.
You need to say – as Miles said to Joel in Risky Business – do you remember that scene in Risky Business when Joel had the hooker party and the guy from Princeton was there, and Joel was all nervous because he didn’t think he’d get into Princeton? And Miles looked at him and said, “sometimes you have to say, ‘what the fuck.’”
You’ve got to say ‘what the fuck.’ Instead of thinking about who you want to fuck, and instead of chasing people you want to fuck, why don’t you start saying ‘what the fuck?’
Why don’t you start enjoying your life in every capacity? Make a list of five things that you want to do. Make a list of the things that you really want to experience. Do something crazy. Buy yourself something that you’ve never bought yourself before – just because you can.
Enjoy yourself. Life is just not about chasing the opposite sex. Life is about fulfilling your mind, fulfilling your soul, and that is the real concept behind mental masturbation.

I really enjoy music. Up until recently I had been playing in one band or another for many years. It was truly one of the best ways I have found thus far to stimulate my mind, body, and soul.

Live life to its fullest you go in this life one time. I think of the places of where I want to be and picture myself there with a guy of my dreams. I think of him sexually and wonder what it would be like just to say what the fuck go out and do it anyway. I like to test the waters of life and see how far I can go. I look at a guy and start to crack up jokes with him just to watch his expressions. Some are amazing and some are serious then when I see the seriousness then I back off.
I haven’t worked OT for the last three months…for the first time in the last 5 years. I’ve been able to travel a bit to see people, re-connect to my social circle in the way that they deserve, and spend both my time and my money having fun as well as settling some overdue problems. I’m now looking forward to a whole lot more of this in the new year, with a much clearer head and an open calendar that couldn’t have come at a better time.
Good advice, David. From what I get from this is that being a well-rounded person is one of the best things one can do if they want to enhance their social life (i.e. dating, having friends). For me personally, I like people that I can talk to for hours on end and not be bored with it, and the only way to really be able to do that is to be well-rounded and have a lot of interests. Not only that, you cannot be narrow-minded and set in your ways. Also, you might be more well-rounded than you think. Do you have a lot of hobbies that you enjoy? It seems like David takes up new hobbies from time to time so if you’re on the beach with a lot of waves, you might want to take up surfing. You might have to look out for the sharks, but riding the waves can be fun although I’ve only done it on a boogie board. One hobby that has increased my social network has been scuba diving. Believe it or not, scuba diving is a very social activity, and dive clubs are all over the place especially in places near bodies of water. The bottom line that I get from this blog is to get involved in activities that you enjoy and try some new ones. Not only does that make you more interesting; it increases your social network, which is always good.

David, Today I read your article “10 Tips for Approaching Single Women” on Yahoo! and can’t believe that by using those tips I was able to meet a very beautiful young lady while swimming at my gym. I was able to get positive feedback and we ened up in the whirlpool next to each other. She went as far as to stroke my legs with hers throughout our convesation. My biggest mistake…not closing the deal. I only wish I could have had more tips for my situation. I did make a connection though. Now all I need is tips on what to do if I see her again.

Mental Masturbation
I went out and spent time with my daughters and son-in-law it felt good just to get a breather and see the world for what it truly was. Then we went to see the Aquarium in Chattanooga and it was fascinating especially seeing a shark up close through glass and walking under millions of water. As I walked through I was imagining myself being near an ocean and wanting to go scuba diving or just ride in a submarine. Expansion of mind and imagination can go along way.
I’ve tried Guitar Hero. It’s okay, but I like to play real guitars much better. For those that like the game, it’s great, but it’s not for me.

I am into Sims 2. I play it like real life and allow my characters to fall in love with who they want too. I can’t wait for Sims 3. I like role life games it reminds of me of what life is all about.
This is what I call my therapy. It relaxes me and helps me to expand my mind especially taking the retired Sims on a vacation. Or just trying to get two people to be together.

I usually play guitar hero with people that are drunk, it makes me stand out from the crowd, and more like a rockstar, because drunk people can’t sing and play the notes right:) btw.. i am not a big drinker, maybe one or two on a social occasion.

Now that we’re talking about guitar playing and guitar hero, playing guitar is another interesting thing to do as long as one is playing it because they like to do that. It’s even better if one manages to get into a jam session at the local jazz club or places with open jams, or they can even join a band if that interests them. For needy people, if they just get involved in things they like to do and expand their social group, they will have much less neediness. In addition, getting involved in hobbies that gets one involved in social groups can make approaching much easier. It sure beats meeting people in a bar or a club.
By the way, drunk people are rarely interesting unless one is just watching them walk funny or act stupid. Even then, that is sad.

You know something I work for Wal Mart and all I see on the tabloids is about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt I am so sick and tired of hearing about those two. I wont even watch a movie that has either one of them in it. Also I hope that one day Jen finds her someone that will make Brad really think about what he lost. I don’t know about trying to get those two back together. But if u go to you.tube you will find some videos that people made out of the Sims characters. You ought to try the game it is fascinating especially trying to get two of them together that don’t give a shit about one another. Also they have Sims porn on you tube.
