Meet Hot Women While On Caffeine

The other day I was on the phone with a reporter from Health magazine, and I told her about how I don’t take calls before 11:00 a.m. She asked me, “Does it take the caffeine that long to kick in?”

I said, “Caffeine? No, I don’t drink coffee. I just don’t want to talk to anyone before 11:00 a.m.” She started laughing.

Then she asked my why I don’t drink coffee. Her question made me think about why I don’t drink it. Here are my main reasons:

1. Maybe I don’t want to pour acid on my stomach first thin in the morning.

2. Maybe I don’t want to drink something so bitter first thing in the morning when I wake up.

3. The times I did drink coffee during some trips to Europe, I ended up buying things I never wore.

4. That caffeine buzz really isn’t needed for someone like me who is already so energetic.

5. I like to ease into my day. I like to lay in bed an extra hour. I like to take Daphne to the beach for a walk feeling all foggy. I enjoy slowly starting the day. What’s the rush? Why do I need to get my heart palpitating the minute I wake up after relaxing all night long. Plus, why would I want to feel jittery after just having a good night’s sleep?

My favorite people are the “puff and coffee” people. They wake up and have a cigarette and some coffee. They already have bad breath. Nothing could smell worse than coffee breath and cigarette breath mixed with morning breath. Why bother brushing your teeth?

So besides generally not needing coffee, not wanting to feel jittery and not wanting to have coffee breath, the real reason I don’t drink coffee is because I like my slow easy morning. Even on the days when I have to wake up early, I enjoy waking up.

The idea of living another day is enough for me. I really don’t need to stimulate myself to feel excited about life. And what does this have to do with meeting hot women while on caffeine. Nothing at all I just thought we would have a very light day today but the video below will show you all you need to know for the upcoming weekend!

Though after watching this video you would think i was high on caffeine!!

Haha! Well I’ve managed to at least cut out the coffee! (or at the least I replaced it with green tea..which contains caffeine, and you dont get the dog breath quite so much).

And I definitely agree with you on the buying shit you never wear after a few coffees. whenever I’m in London and I’m dragged into Topman or H+M, I always buy ridiculous clothes (as if my own attire wasnt ridiculous enough already) such as baby blue skinny trousers(which to be fair I actaually like and look good on me!), or tshirt in the sale.

My morning routine generally involves my ancient blackberry dragging me kicking and screaming out of whatever dreams going on in my head at 10am, unshaven, to the kettle and boiling a tea, and smoking cigarettes or doing a bong or two if I have one around, in the shower and drinking it until I feel warm and friendly enough to approach the outside world.

At that point I’m pretty much good to go, as gross as the paragraph above sounds! Ive no idea how you coped when you did Bootcamps, and you were always so full of energy each day, even with the constant jet lag hammering away at you!

PS I know its more of a funny blog on caffeine, but id be pretty funny if everyone else shared their morning routine, especially if you’re american!

I love the whole stereotypical Californian/US way of getting through the day of 6 cups of coffee, driving hybrids etc. I’d love to move to LA when I’m qualified! Brilliant sunshine in the morning, the funny, slightly sarcastic, attitude of everyone, whole foods etc, honestly don’t know why anyone would want to move out of LA! (PS not being sarcastic at all!!) :)

Observations of people from going out into the world after being a hermit because of summer college courses: (Observing/realizations on people I hang out with and others)

    1. My mutual friend I met today loves to say “[insert person's name or it/he/she] is weird” often.

    2. My friend went on and on and on about how bratty and annoying her baby niece is when I asked her what was up about her phone call. As she talked more and more, her volume really escalated and I could tell she was getting angry. It scared me because, well she was driving…

    3. Our waitress had an accent, and people probably snicker at her but she still does her job. She even asked what part of town we were from. I thought that was friendly of her, whereas my two friends thought it was weird. ?!?!?

…I don’t observe my surroundings enough because I’m always more focused on how I appear and I get nervous and self conscious, which brings out the side of me that turns people off from my speech and gestures. How to break that routine? Go out more, I tell myself.

dont you mean from infront of the computer? ive never
really mastered working behind a computer should give it a try
ha jk,, just yanking your chain.

    anyways good advice as always…

  21. Your blog is so funny David!

For me, I find it ironic that I don’t drink coffee either. Being raised in France and all, you’d think I’m a chronic coffee drinker but truth is, I rarely drink it! And if I drink it, I drink it sometimes during the day for a quick kick start of energy…. or after a meal.

Hmmm… I do love a nice expresso after lunch or something.

In the morning, I just like to linger in bed too! I open my eyes and slowly check things online. I look for what’s new in the tech world (I’m still a geek at heart) and then I look a little bit of world news… and then I look at what are the latest questions I got from our clients.

Then…. I think of actually getting out of bed and getting on my day :)
