Very beutifully written. Pretend you are married for 30 years and find that you are the only one in a relationship rowing the boat and your spouse is not. What do you do at this point seems to be the question. Dealing with a parent dying of cancer and having to sell their home (the one you grew up in adding to the pain). Add watching your spouce dying of rheumetoid arthritis. Next your son, wife and 3 dogs move back home with you. Missing your other parent who died 10 years ago who was your mentor to life. What about these type of conditions ? How do you NOT avoid Divorce and/or seperation. Nothing in this article covers IMMENSE PAIN and Frustation. It was well written to a point, but not far enough in todays world of uncertainty.

Tony,

I don't want to get too much into it but as good as we coach can be with emotional intelligent or self-awareness, it doesn't always help the relationship if the other person really feels disconnected and wants to throw in the towel.

Taking a week off usually helps, but usually (like me) we end up missing one another terribly and when the week is up, it's a raging chemical, hormonal reunion and then the cycle starts all over again. What fun!
