Don’t Stop Believin’
What do you believe in? What do you stand for? How do you define yourself as a person in this world?
What are your beliefs? What are you willing to do, and how much are you willing to take?
Who do you respect? Who do you honor? Do you honor yourself? Do you honor who you are as a person?
Do you have beliefs that are so strong that you’ll stand up for yourself no matter what? Or are you a pushover in every way – you’re just taking the scraps of life as they come to you?
Man, this sounds like a harsh blog – but it really isn’t!
I want you all to step up for yourself today and I want you to write down what you believe in.
I want you to write it on the blog right now. Start it off with this: “David, my name is _____, and I believe in…” Tell me what you believe in.
I’ve spent the last year writing blogs for you guys, and you know what I believe in. You know what I stand for: I stand for truth, justice, and the American way. Am I Superman, or what?
But what do you believe in? What are you going to stand up for? How do you want your life to be?
I want to hear from you guys today. I want to hear what you are all about.
You write me a blog today. Write me a long post and tell me what you believe in. Tell me what you’re fighting for. Tell me exactly how you want your life to be six months from now – and what you’re doing every single day to make that happen.
I challenge you to stand up for yourself today on this blog. Only the gutsiest people are actually going to stand up. Most of you are just going to read it, think about it, and wait for the perfect thing to write.
But there is no perfect thing to write.
I just want to hear what you believe in; I want to hear what you stand for, and I want to get to know you even deeper.

My name is Roberta Ann….
While I’m not a guy…there are a few things I believe in.
Myself.
My kids.
Honesty with kindness.
I can do anything I want to do or have to do….like fixing the toilet. At first it made me cry then I put on my big girl panties, looked it up online, went to the hardware store got the stuff, and fixed the damn thing. I just kept saying to myself…I made it through college, my ex who quit, can do this, and I’m certainly smarter than that, therefore you can do this.
Work shouldn’t make you exhausted just to reduce the bottom line. (I could write an entire blog on this, but I’ll leave it at that) There has to be a better way.
There has to be a better way to protect our respective environments and still maintain accessibility and our standard of living.
This next thought has been percolating in my head for about a month now….
I’m not sure that I’m long-term relationship material…the trouble is I also don’t see me being alone forever either even though I’m quite happy with the way my life is right now. So I’ve been trying to figure this out a lot lately.
My name is greg, im a college student studying biochemistry. I hope to do research that will help us fix this enviornmental mess we have created.
Socially, I value respect, honesty, and trust above all else. My friends can talk to me about anything, and know that i wont go and share their secrets with anyone else. I used to be a pushover, extremely shy and quiet, but now I say/do what i feel like doing, and dont really care what other people think of it, because I cannot control what they think of me.
my name is David and i believe in my own experiences, i believe in love, i have a crush on a friend of mine and i believe that she likes me too and that she gonna be my girlfriend soon, i believe i have a lot of friends and i improve my confidence everyday by meeting new people whenever i can
I sort of have this problem with talking to girls after class. Here is a typical situation, I always arrive to class at least 15 minutes early to class so i can talk to the girl, and i do. But once class is over everyone rushes out to leave class. I want to talk to the girl some more after class so we can get to know each other better and she always seems to be out with such a rush! Is it that she doesnt care if i talk to her again or is it that she is not aware that i want to talk to her some more? Or is it that she just doesnt want to talk to me so she just leaves?

I get paid to respond to this type of question and usually answer with books and screenplays, but a quick blog would be good too.
My life’s work is to understand the people around me, the influences I recieve on a daily, hourly, and minutia level and to transform those experiences into works of staggering emotional and truthful thought.
I believe in the power of my voice and the direction it carries me through life. I believe in the power of the human spirit and how capable, controlled, and how incredible a life devoted to making that detail work in everyones voice can be, not just the one who believes in it. I believe in resonating with a large audience because the things that resonate the best are the ones that no one takes the time to study anymore and with each new day and each new hour, we find things that are as invaluable, unique and precious as every single diamond on this planet. We have ourselves to honor and we have the moments that make up a beautiful day to carry us through to the next one.
But I believe every moment can be beautiful if we all work hard on making that dream a reality. I believe everything happens for a reason and the reason is something we create together, either as a union with another soul or as a union with the material behind the source of all of creation and inspiration working with the voice and flow of words and ideas through our minds.
I believe in human decency, compassion and empathy overwhelming the nuances of troubled creative minds. I believe we are given strengths and weaknesses before we are equipped to understand them and when we do turn our attentions to what we need to work on and what substantiates us as humans, then the real work begins. I believe we never stop giving up and we never stop believing in the world and what a wonderful place it can be if we hold on to our faith in our spirits of creation and our love for ourselves.
I believe everyone has a voice worth listening to and I want to see what other people have to offer on your subject. Because I believe in the force of creation and change and those are the two most powerful forces in the world when applied to human creativity. And I believe that there isn’t a single moment in a single person’s life that is more valuable and precious than any other moment we experience no matter how important the value is in an arbitrary sense.
David is someone who teaches that selfless attitude and understands the power of creation can come from helping someone realize their own power. It empowers him and it makes him special and I believe in what he is doing with his time, energy, expertise, and knowledge.
Take care,
M
My name is Rogerio – for those who don’t know, I was at the London boot camp.
And I am a guy (just checked – their still there
)
I believe in me, myself and I – in the gift that is life and that nothing is impossible it just take longer than the easy stuff (just need to keep reminding myself of that).
I need to listen to myself (inner voice – not monkey chatter) more than I currently do.
I know I am capable of anything thing – another thing that I need to keep reminding myself of.
I have worked on myself for over 3 years – I’m at the point that I no longer have monkey chatter. When I do allow “chatter” it’s always positive and more of a dialogue with myself. I can control my mind and go blank in an almost Zen like way – if someone says pink elephant nothing happens. Adam tried that with me during the boot camp.
I am against stupidity in all it’s forms – not talking about the ha ha funny type stupid but stupid as in knowing that the master key to a building has been stolen and only deciding to change the locks after 2 months and a lot of offices being robed without any forced entry.
David Wygant is the reason why I now have a shoe and watch fetish.
My second goal for this year is to be fearless my first (and still is) is to change my life completely this year.
I am against “boring” in all it’s forms.
That’s it for now.
I believe in love. And I hope that belief is more than just my own personal concept. Some religions are perceived as just “beliefs” and not “facts,” but I believe in God, too, and I hope that’s more than just a personal concept.
I believe in doing it my way, and not worrying about the way others perceive me. That belief is sometimes really hard to deal with, and I struggle with it often. I strive to not be as affected by others’ opinions or judge my own self-worth by the number of friends I have, but honestly, my academics have really driven me apart from friendships. This summer, I learned to reverse that through meeting new people as Wygant teaches. It’s tough and I have little to show from it. But this mindset will change me for the better, even if it’s in the long-term.
I believe I can make the world a better place, especially through my work in journalism. I think I help other people find their voices.
I believe in justice, and even though I think the guilty should pay for their crimes, I believe in their redemption, and I wish they only had to pay for their crimes with jail time and not public outcry for the rest of their lives. I’m pretty much a pushover in that regard.
I guess what’s been on my mind most recently is why I’m so comfortable with others I’m not attracted to, but nervous and a pushover with women I am attracted to.
Hey David, my name is Thomas and I believe in helping others. I believe in pursuing dreams. I believe in fulfilling potential. I believe in sharing wealth. I believe in love, friendship, and emotion.
My life has been completely different since I have graduated from college. Almost two months ago, I have opened up Project Infinity, which is a blog devoted to helping guys improve their lifestyles, and while I have been doing that, I haven’t forgotten about why I do it. Not only do I get to help others improve their lives, but I also get to learn more about myself and get the best out of everything I do in my life.
I get so passionate about this that when I talk about it, my hands go all over the place. I’m even having a hard time keeping my hands still as I type this!
It’s important that we all help each other better ourselves. We have the opportunity to learn so much about other people and ourselves. I believe in taking risks and not judging people for who they are and where they come from. I believe we deserve to have our cake and eat it too.
Gorgeous women are women that we guys are more than capable of attaining. Gorgeous women want us to attain them. Remember that. When you’re in a bar or a club, the point of these places is to provide a venue for entertainment and meeting people. Have fun, enjoy yourself and expand your social circle.
I believe in satisfaction and striving for it. I also believe satisfaction and happiness go hand in hand.
You all are great people and I love coming here to read what people say. And David, thanks for providing this forum for doing so.
I am so excited about life and everyone else should be too!
Hi David my name is Taryn
I believe that life is short and we need to live it to the fullest EVERYDAY! I believe laughter is the key to life and without it you will be lost. I believe good karma will come back to you so be kind to others around you. I believe in doing what makes you happy and NEVER settling for less than you deserve.
Considering the late hour here in Madrid, nearing a quarter to 2am and the fact that work begins early Monday morning, I will make this brief: My name is Victor, and I believe in The Golden Rule: Treating others how you yourself would want to be treated. I believe in social justice and helping those people who are less fortunate than you. I believe in empathy, random acts of kindness and that I have concrete morals that cannot and will not be compromised. I believe that we need to take advantage of the abilities that have been given to us, that at times we may take for granted without even realizing it.
In 6 months time, I will be finishing my work here and either head back to the States or will have been able to extend my time and will continue working here in Spain.
Thank you David for providing this space. Your insight has truely been helpful.
David, my name is Jonas. I believe in life, in all it’s forms. From the air we share with the green turtle, to the women we meet. Every little thing, every detail is important. The words we exchange with ourselfs and others are really unique, and I’m trying to be as truthful as I can when they come out of my mouth, adapting them to the greater good in my thoughts. We have the power to change and be whoever we want to be. I want to be myself with every good aspect I find in those around me, and all of you, specially David are showing me some (or how to find) really good things. I believe that life is in randomic movement, never stopping, allways changing. I believe that if I live my life with respect and chase my dreams I will get the most of it and fulfill them in some manner. I want to be a good father, husband, friend and person.
In six months I want to have made some accomplishments in work and in myself and built new dreams and objectives.
So, live your life and don’t expect anyone to do it for you!
Hugs and kisses for all.
I’ll keep this short and sweet…
My name is Taras and first and foremost I believe in expression. I also value trust, honesty, positivity, intelligence, and independence of thought. I would rather speak my mind and risk getting into some trouble than stay silent to make others happy. I am a psychology major and my passion is the human mind, although that may change as I continue to go out into the world and find new things that interest and intrigue me.
That’s all. peace.
My name is Gale.
I am believe in honesty. I believe you have to make a great day happen. I used to believe that sky is my limit, but not any more…I don’t know if it means that I am giving up on some of my dreams or it is a sign on maturity… I believe that things happen in this world for a reason.
I believe that good is good and bad is bad, but at the end – good prevails.
My name is Robert, and I believe in the power of rock! Rock is the only thing that actually gives me a drive in life anymore. If it wasn’t for Journey, REO, Nickelback and Bon Jovi.
I first found my life nitty gritty, but actually it’s a little bit better than that. If it wasn’t for my life being so crude and harsh I prolly would of never found myself. We all strive to find myself and I already did. Myself, I am a Rocker. I listen to AC/DC, Bon Jovi, and Def Leppard. I told myself that I would never listen to such music as Eminem, Chris Brown, and T-Pain. But the lyrics in themselves talk about self-improvement. Specially Eminem. Seeing 8 Mile for the first time in my life I realized how one person can overcome all obstacles in their life.
Going to Jail is perhaps one of the major break-throughs in my life. It taught me to take life with a grain of salt and always to live on the edge. Being normal is a thing of the past and as Nickelback said, You Gotta Be Somebody.
David has been some help in my life, but all together it’s my choice if I listen. What he taught me most is to act like yourself. I’m still working on fine tuning it, but I got most of it together finally after all these years. I wish I knew just a bit more, and lived over where the bootcamp areas. Coming from a small town is the only negative thing about meeting various woman. Perhaps I set my standards too high because of rumours that someone has herpes in this town, and everyone goes out and screws each other like rabbits.
I digress. I believe in self-improvement. I believe influential lyrics in Rock and Rap. I believe in the power to make my own decision. I also take pride in the fact I once had a Mullet which marked me for ridicule, but I am a individual.
Hey guys, this is kind of funny. I just finished watching the movie (into the wild) and was pondering the same questions.
Well my name Vince and I am on the road to better myself in all aspects. I have been travelling and experiencing new situation in the past 2 years. It is helping me grow to eventually become the leader I want to be. I left my hometown and my career to explore my country (canada). I believe that it would lead me to my true passion which I know I found. It lies in helping people to start believing in big dreams again no matter what their age and help them achieve them. Whatever your mind can concieve it can achieve (Napoleon Hill) And so finally I feel Im on the right path to impact this world in a positive way.
This time next year I know I will have met David Wygant because his life works inspires me almost everyday. I really enjoy reading his blogs and your guys comments.
I’m currently reading a book called ”The slight edge by jeff olson” It’s an awesome book to help you change. So I will leave you guys with this and keep on growing!
David, my name is David and I believe in living in the present. Time flies too quickly to be stuck on auto-pilot and I want to change that about myself. I found your blog about a month ago and find its advice practical, natural, and conducive to trying to live in the present.
keep up the good advice and I’ll keep reading.
My name is Sam,
I believe in striving to do my best in everything I do. That means not settling for second best, no matter what. I’ts hard but I refuse to compromise my integrity and live a lie. I believe in being honest with others, and trying to make the lives of those around me that little bit better in any way I can. I believe in love and one day I will experience it again! …and I believe this was a good idea for a blog, nice posts everybody
My name is Anthony, and I believe that there’s a cure for all the problems and ailments we have in this world. I am a chiropractor and I believe that there’s a cure for all our health problems out there. Some have been discovered and others haven’t YET! I am going to share with the world everything I know about health and wellness and this trickle of knowledge will one day be a breathtaking waterfall that will help the world.
David, my name is Ian, and I believe in myself. I’m far from perfect, and I have a lot of progress to make in bettering my life, but I know that when I set my mind to something, it gets done, maybe not right away, but it does get done. Right now I’m dealing with a lot of confidence issues, and you know what? I am SICK of it. There are times I just can’t stand myself, I need a change, I’m constantly analyzing myself and others and it simply stresses me out, this isn’t the life I want to live. I want to happy with who I am and sincerely believe in myself, but I know it takes work. I promise to myself and anyone reading this, that I AM going to change, I am going to be happy with who I am and where my life is headed, not for you, not for the girl down the street, but for ME. I want to be happy, and I’ll do whatever it takes to get there.
My name is Pete, i took a (fucking awesome) bootcamp in London in August. I fully believe in Individuality, and being yourself, and not being an empty soul who’s only after getting laid.
I belive that Health, Wealth and Relationships are all as equally as important as one another.
I eat plenty of superfoods (brocolli, sweet potato, Spinach, quinoa etc), veggies, and protein, and work out 3x a week on Starting Strength (missed a few sessions though).
I am consistently looking for new opportunities to make sustainable money, and o finish my degree with a decent grade to a) satisfy my parents b) prove I can remain comitted to something in the long term.
THing and grow rich truly is the bible of my life, and I’m determined to come to America or Australia and work for a mentor, at the minimum wage, or even for free, to learn invaluable life lessons and improve myself.
I consistently try to get my 5 a day in people, and am always up for going out (read gettign wrecked) and talking to some fascinating people, who are probably more fascinating when drunk. I believe in listening to people, and what they have to say, and valueing what they have to say. I believe in your own space, and respecting other peoples things. I value people who are generous in the right quanity, and distrust people who pick and moan and have emotional rants at small things, instead of sorting them out rationally and calmly.
my name is Joe, i’m from Boston. i’m a composer/student.
I believe in Art, Creativity, Passion, nonconformity and indivduality. I believe in giving a person a chance and getting to them before making judgements. i believe that deep connections and open mindness make a relationship/friendship. not looks, career, height/weight or material object.
i believe in karma, the threefolds law. treat other as you wish to be treat.
I do what you want to do, regardless of what others think. it’s your happiness not theres.
i’m 30 back in college finishing what i always wanted to do with my life. i give up alot of do to it.
too bad it’s sad people look down in that instead or admiring it.
cheers,
Joe
I believe when one person falls everyone falls together and that individual salvation is bullshit.
My name is Matt, and I believe in the Elohim of the Bible, the Annunaki of ancient Sumerian text, and the gods of the Greek, Roman, Indian, (as well as Native American) African, Asian people whose ancient tales all told of the “sky people” or the “gods who came from the sky”. In fact, the word Elohim means “those who come from the sky” in the most ancient Hebrew language and it is important to know that it was mistranslated into a singular “God”. The Elohim are the Ones we have all been waiting for. All religions announced Their return for these thousands of years – and they will bring with them all the great prophets, who also promised humanity they would return one day. Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Zoroaster, Moses, Elijah, Joseph Smith (and over 30 others) will all return with the Elohim one great day in the near future…if we just welcome them. How do we welcome them? By laying down weapons and using science to save lives instead of take lives. We have all the intelligence needed to save this planet – if we just remove the power of the current religious and government institutions whose goals to date have been to maintain their own power and wealth.
Hello David, my name’s Jenny. I recently discovered your blog. Like it alot.
I believe in choosing our life. Specifically: choosing our happiness. It’s cheesy, but think about it: how many do this? How many truly choose their happiness or blame life/loved ones when it doesn’t “find” them between work and the t.v.? Bad luck? Poppy cock! Lovers don’t fall from the sky and never leave, bad things sometimes come with the good, and wrinkles happen. It’s all in how you roll with it, from the big stuff to the small moments. I’m a graduate student (so I’m frequently stripped of joy and licensed to strangle), but I often take my best lessons from a 2-yr old: curse, and then laugh…hug freely…find joy in the mundane…don’t hold in your anger…. Thought of another way: if I were to die tomorrow, which moments would I regret today? Aside from not hopping the first plane to Hawaii this morning, they’d be the ones that didn’t produce happiness, however short a moment it might be. So ya, I guess that’s what a I stand for: choosing happiness, taking responsibility for yourself, and knowing it’s never further away than our daily choices.
Not too original. But unlike many, it’s not just a dust-collector on my nightstand. Oh ya, and in six months from now, I want to be ace-ing a certain math subject that is currently kicking my arse, I want to OWN my research project, I want to secure funding, and I want to CEASE having a torturous crush on a certain (married) faculty.
Who else wants to hear David’s spiel? And don’t give us any of that superhero shit, David. C’mon. Dish!
Hey! My name is Sam! I just went through a huge move and tough break-up, but I’m working on building myself back up and getting to the real me.
I believe in the real me. I know that I can do anything that I want to do, cause I have done it countless times. I went back to school and finished my degree in a damn hard subject (economics)… I can learn anything I want on guitar, usually by ear… I fixed up a house mostly by myself and flipped it to pay down most of my student debt… but I sometimes fall prey to this huge boulder tied to my inner mind… it’s like I’m the mental Sisyphus, constantly rolling that boulder up the hill. And it totally doesn’t have to be that way, cause I believe in myself.
I believe in being honest with people and respecting the way other people feel. And at some point, when the person is right, I want to be involved with another person who communicates super well with me, and is honest about the way they feel throughout with me. Not just at the very end of things, when it’s a total surprise.
I believe in becoming more self-aware and aware of things going on around me, and not living in my head so much. I miss soooo much sometimes! Just the other day, I was a play of Dracula, and this cute girl moved next to me, said she was scared, and at one point hid her face on my shoulder out of fright (whether real or feigned?). What an opportunity to talk, and I didn’t seize it. I believe in seizing those moments.
I enjoyed reading some of these comments. The following had me ROFL:
>>>>>>>>David Wygant is the reason why I now have a shoe and watch fetish.
>>>>>>>>I believe in the power of rock! Rock is the only thing that actually gives me a drive in life anymore. If it wasn’t for Journey, REO, Nickelback and Bon Jovi.
No time to write my own, sorry. Tomorrow I believe in Obama:-)
This blog sounds like a beautiful poem!
I believe in myself. I believe that anything positive is better than anything negative. I believe in learning. XOXOXOX!
hi. My name is AJ and I believe in making others laugh. I love spreading the wealth of comedy around, and I may still be single/lonely on my 21st birthday as I type this due to my below average looks, I am still very happy with my life because of all the positive things that have happened to me.
Hello, I’m Mo Bounce, and i’m an alcoholic. …Oh wait, wrong meeting! lol jk. I believe first and foremost in being real. And seeking & sharing the truth with all. Being real & telling the truth aren’t always pretty, but i’m not either. I’m raw sometimes, but trying to be more classy. My entire life has been dedicated to just being real & truthful, never having to act, it just comes natural. Occaisionally people get pissed at me for my words, but generally it’s because they can’t or won’t accept them. I’m trying harder to share the grace of God thru my words and not speak so bluntly, but there’s a time & a place for everything.
With women, I believe in being a huge flirt and sharing compliments when they’re real. I love tugging their hair when i’ve busted their chops on something funny, or bumping them with my hip. Just a little something to send them reeling with ecstasy!! I have no need to kiss ass, never have, never will. Some women don’t know how to accept a real compliment, it’s foreign to them. If I run into damaged women, I just smile & walk away. They’re missing out on the grace of God that runs thru me.
Everywhere I go, I try to brighten someone’s day. Usually, compliments from me arise from just being observant. Example: There’s this little hole in the wall liquor store by my pad and i’ll cruze over there for a beer and pet the Rott out back, slap hands with the owner and stare in awe at the scenery inside. It’s like a museum of cool stuff. Wildly shaped bottles of alcohol from around the world, A Pirate ship, a worm, a dragon, an Easter island statue, etc. All the different types of beer from around the world, not just the american 3. The amazing hand blown glass pipes, bongs & hukas. The amazing selection of cigars & blunts. All those things. When I go in, he gives me shot bottles free every time. I’ve never asked once.
I went to the mall recently looking for some new clothes to upgrade my wardrobe from 20′s to mature adult. I found this high end business suit store and decided to check it out. I told the mgr my mission and I walked the store for 20 mins and observed everything, commenting on the high quality dress clothes from Italy, etc. I ended up finding this amazing Hawaiian shirt, by far the most vibrant item in the whole store. It’s like 100 stitch per sq inch. Excellent quality. I looked at the price tag and it was like $100+. I said whoa, that’s a little out of my price range, but it’s so dynamic, i’ll take it anyways, and 2 pairs of dress pants to match also. I talked to the mgr for awhile and he asked my name, I told him “They call me Mo Bounce,” He was Pakistani and had trouble pronouncing it, so I helped him pronounce it. He smiled when he got it, and told me his name was “Mo.” I smiled & said “You’re Mo Bounce too?!” He knew I was joking and said “No, Mo-hammed.” I shook his hand and thanked him for the tour of his store. I went to check out, and he gave me his employee discount and saved me over $50 on everything I bought. Very cool!
I took my Jeep to get the brakes done and was just talking to the mgr and he asked all about my Jeep, what i’d added to it and where I wheeled. We talked for awhile. After the service was done and he rang up the bill, he said he’d given me his employee discount. Never asked, just hooked it up.
It’s days like those that make Being Cool worth every minute!!
Cheers & Beers!

Hello David, my name is Susan and I’m new to your blog, too.
I believe in me, my abilities, my success, my honesty, my integrity, my gift of service to others-when you set out to do something “charitable” for someone else you walk away from the whole experience completely grateful for the gift they have given to you. David, your philosophy of going into a dating situation hoping to get nothing from it can easily be translated to charitable acts. I find the most humbling experiences in my life is when I’ve set out to do something for someone else. Anyone out there feel their life is not where they want it to be? Go and serve dinner at a homeless shelter and you will come away knowing how lucky you are and how not that different you are from the person across the serving line.
Yeah, that’s my name LOL .. Ok, so I’m on my “enlightment” journey, thx to this bloig too after reading “The Power of now”. It’s making more sense everyday, but sometimes their are doubts in the head .. Thanks to this blog I see I’m not alone, that EVERYONE has his ups and downs, and that only thing worth investing on is yourself .. Keep un the good work, peace ;]
Hi, my name is Elise and I believe in following your passions and figuring out life your own way. im the youngest kid of two and used to be greatly influenced by other people before I would go and seek something out myself. I am easily emotionally attached in relationships and it has been hard to assert myself, and figure out what I want before when around very dominant personalities. Identifying that this is a problem and being more conscious of when this happens helps me to get one step closer to being the person who I would like to be every day. I believe in independence and originality and hopefully I will get there one day soon. Im a new reader to your blog, but I enjoy your stories and tips, thanks!
David, my name is dirk, and I believe in myself. I’m a 49-year old divorced-once male, and I have to believe in myself and obtain all of my self-worth, self-confidence, and validation from myself. I no longer need someone else to determine my worth or validate me as a person. I’ve started a new life for myself post-divorce and want to live a life that is good and honorable and that gives back to my community. I want to honor my friends and family, while lovers come and go, friends and family will last you your lifetime. I want to lead by example.
To that end, I became an elected official this year and plan in the next 6-months or so to run for a higher office.
Oh, and thanks for the value that you add to my life.
Hi, my name is nitin . I am working for Microsoft Sales projects from india. I do often read your blogs when i feel low and full of hazzles so that i could get enough strength and beleif to cure my loneliness .
I firmly beleive in live and let live policy, i beleive every1 has the right to say & speak what is correct from an individual perspective.
i do feel sometimes that i panic a lot due to work load pressure even when there is no need of it . I used to feel sometimes that having a gal is like some kind of an achievement but my perception was changed to a great extent after reading david’d advice and have got a bit of confidence now when it comes towards girls however i am still single may be due to some other reasons.
Anyway david you are doing a good job
You rock
Cheers
hey it’s me, markus!
I believe I can do anything on earth as long as I really want it. I will take any effort necessary and then achieve it.
I believe in the good in anyone and especially in the world itself. I believe that people act upon you the exact same way you treat them and accordding to the impression you gave them.
I believe in the universal laws of the universe, sometimes called Law of Attraction which basically says you will get what you focus your thoughts and energy on.
I believe in learning and (self-) development. I take everything, good or bad, that happens to me during the day as a unique learning opportunity. I believe it is key to look at especially the inconvenient stuff as it often bears the most valuable learnings.
I believe that it is always advisable to have the ability to take a “third-person-view” on myself in all difficult situations. From outside, things are much more clearer and easier as they may seem from one self’s point of view.
I believe in respecting myself and treating myself well. When I buy something or stay in see place or travel, I do as comfortable as I can get/afford. I don’t work that hard to stay in mediocre places, eat bad food or dress in bad clothes.
And, damn it, I believe in my iPhone that allowed me to type all this long text without crashing or anything!!!
Greets
Markus
I believe in freedom and in respecting other people.
ok still a long way to go for my phone to format everything correctly…
Well, I guess you got the message anyway.
Trust me…this may sound serious but at the end of the day it’s usually fun and energizing when I’m coming from the right place.
I believe in…
-pushing my limits and learning from my mistakes.
-authority over arrogance.
-groundedness.
-life shrinks or expands in proportion to ones courage (Anais Nin).
and someone else’s courage doesn’t have to match your’s…they may be doing the best they can.
-just when I think I’ve got it all figured out I’ll say or do something and prove myself wrong…humility is a good thing.
-if you have to be right in a relationship I suggest not being in one.
-if you’re the smartest one in the room you’ll never learn anything.
David – Have good one!!
Simple.
I believe in observing, learning, testing and experimenting. In going for what I want and making no apologies for who nor what I am.
After having met a beautiful woman in Colombia, I realized that happiness truly exists in this world. Life is much, much richer with another person in your life. How we met is too long to write here, but at the end of the day, as a guy, you have to make a push to meet a woman. A great book I recommend is “Remains of the Day.” The key story line is about a butler who has a secret crush on a maid, but doesn’t tell her for like 30 years!!! The story is about regret and longing. Don’t let this happen to you!!!
Markus,
It is so good to hear from you! And Bertie is here! Where is our Disparate Housewife? Does anyone know?
Hi David My name is Jeff, I believe in My self and my ability, I believe in America and my way of life, I believe love is possible and has many different form’s, I believe anything is possible.

I believe i am a valuable, productive member of our society, I believe I am loved by many people, I believe I can make friend’s and connect with many more people.

Hi, my name is Mark King. I believe that everything and everybody is connected together, what we do for others, we also do for ourselves. I believe I’ve been very fortunate to have the life I’ve had. I believe in helping those who are struggling or less fortunate.
I believe the world would be so much better if humans would start helping, instead of hurting each other.
I believe my diet is starting to pay off because I caught a hot lady scoping out my body yesterday. Nice
Peace
Hey Jessica
it is good to see you too!! After a while of absence (i was extremely busy at work) I’m happy to be back on the blog. Theres a lot of good stuff coming here every day.
Markus
Hi David I wish I could retain the knowledge from reading books but I had a T.B.I. and I have short term memory loss so what ever I read I do not retain in my memory. I feel like I am trapped because of this.
Take Care
Jeff
I believe in the power of my cock to solve the worlds problems, thanks for all your thoughts david.
My name is Rob Davenport and:
I believe that all men & women are created equal and have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (and that happiness itself is up to you).
I believe in the inherent goodness of all human beings.
I believe in the Golden Rule.
I believe in a higher power, but I reject the notion that access to that power is restricted to those belong to a certain group, read a certain book, dress a certain way, pray a certain way, or enjoy intimacy only in a prescribed manner.
I believe that the female body is God’s greatest work of art, and each imperfection is God’s artistic statement.
I believe in the Constitution of the United States, that the Wealth of Nations was the most important intellectual work of the past 300 years, in the teachings of Jesus, in the insight of Buddha, and in the wisdom of the Tao.
I believe the greatest thrill is floating down a mountain on a bed of fresh powder.
I believe that it’s the economy (stupid!).
I believe in me. I am all that I can and should be. And, I will become all that I have passion for.
my name is vic
I believe in honesty and trust, love and the expression of your self weather it comes out in dance song, poems, art any wich way as long as you can find your true self and learning how to turn those few seconds into your own life style. right now i am trying to get into school and find a way to pay for it but i believe that the sky is truly the limit and where theres a will theres a way. for me i am told that i have my head of in the clouds sometimes but i want to be the person that is passionate about my dreams and chase them down to see how much i can actually do. so I’m not the best writer in the world so me and what i stand for in a nut shell wold be dreams, fun, honesty, passion, reliable, trust, love.
hey there david
It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives.
Hi David, my name is Julie, and I believe in heroes…i.e… those people that are willing to stand up for what they believe in, regardless of ridicule or hardship. I also believe in love, and the existence of life, itself.
e.e. cummings said it best…quoting from his poem “i carry your heart”
“here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which
grows higher than the soul can hope or mind
can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)”
I think if we all carried each other in our hearts…the world would be an easier place to live in.
Thanks so much for your blog!
Hey Dave, I beleive that as human beings we have the capacity to better ourselfes, it’s just that usually we have the choice right in front of us, but were often too lazy or stubborn to do it. I dont want to keep doing that and thats why I’m here. My greatest beleive at this time is ones own personal conviction, to be able to look yourself in the mirror instead and say “Hey, what can I do to make my life the way I want it to be?”.
Whats up David.
I believe in honesty. White lies or little lies are fine, but when a person sits there and makes shit up, its annoying. Honesty, although hard to handle sometimes when someone is truthful with you, makes things easier in the end. All those little games and stories just provide false situations, which isnt good for anyone.
I believe in God. Im not a religous person, where I attend church and follow the bible, but I believe in the after life. I’ll keep it as simple as that(not gonna preach on your blog)…but if you’d like to know what my idea of after life is, ask and i can tell.
I believe in keeping myself in good shape and staying healthy.
I believe that everyone has their own opinions and voice with every situation; but no one person should force that upon someone else.
I believe that life is what you make it. If you sit back and expect things to come to you 9 times out of 10 you’ll be disappointed…unless you’re “lucky”(like you stated in your blog).
Thank you.
Matt S.
I believe in myself (even if no one else does!)
Hi David, My name is Michelle. I believe that you can have what you want in a relationship. It is really all about vibrations. You can welcome someone into your realm by simply allowing them to enter. What you think of yourself will emulate and attract that in a soul mate. It is possible and if we believe we deserve it we can have it.
David, my name is Igor. I don’t really like using the word “believe” because in a lot of times it involves uncertainty. However, I do stand up for my family and friends. All throughout high school I used to be a shy kid, but having to go through college and getting a somewhat serious job really changed me for who I am. I used to take a lot of “verbal” abuse before I would explode… I used to keep things to myself. But it is no longer the case. So, most of all… I believe in myself. I also believe in what you’re doing, which is helping people open up more. And that is very important. There are way too many people out there who live “under a rock” who are cranky and have no personalities. So, thank you for what you are doing (even though it’s technically your job now, but hey… at least you enjoy what you’re doing)!!
My name is Anthony and I believe that ultimately (not relatively) Truth lies in the silence and the stillness of “not-knowing”. I believe we are all perfect as we are in any given moment but at the same time their is room for improvement. I also believe that my beliefs are just that, beliefs. Just like my opinions are opinions. They are tools, a way to help me choose a path, a pair of shoes, a bottle of wine, etc. But experience and wisdom (and thousands of hours of Zen meditation) tell me that when I become attached to them or become identified with them I am living from habituality and not being present and living authentically. They are useful but also very limiting. A big challenge in my life is recognizing when to put them down and when to pick them up. It is very difficult to remember to remember. One way of putting it is that when it comes to the big, big questions in life (and many small ones for that matter) my belief is that I do not know. I am at peace enough with myself to not need or want a story. That seems to keep me out of trouble. Life is mysterious and beautiful. Best to just smile and rest peacefully in the mystery of it all when we can.
That being said, I do believe in setting and achieving goals but not in getting overly attached to the outcome. After all, it’s the people and experiences that arise along the way that awaken us (hopefully, if we are paying attention) and give life it’s true richness. Like the cliche’ states, “The journey is more important than the destination.”
i believe in taking the time to appreciate the people and opportunities in our lives, i believe in treating people with kindness and respect no matter what, even if theyre just plain assholes, i believe in being the bigger man in any situation, i believe it is a gift to be somebody people can trust and to have people i can trust, i believe in loyalty, i believe our destiny is in our own hands but because god has given us the ability to make our own decisions, i believe in no traditional higher being – but that god is love, chance, opportunity and spirit. i believe we should follow our dreams and live our lives for ourselves as well as for others. i believe nobody will read this, but this is a good exercise in introspective thinking and will help all those who take the time to do it.
My name is Lang.
I believe in trying my best, and that no matter how bad things can get, there’s always the brighter side of things. I believe that people should be able to laugh at the same and not take life too seriously.
I believe that you should help yourself first, before helping other people. I believe people’s true colours show when they are in times of hardship, that character comes from how you deal with those hardships, and how you overcome those obstacles.
I believe people are not either this or that, that most people are in between.
I stand for justice and all things good. I’m the guy who gets out of my seat to let the pregnant woman sit, not matter what she says about it.
I’m also the guy who sometimes is insecure , but I’m I won’t to change, and I’m taking steps to change my self.
I believe the journey of love is a path of happiness, suffering, and more hapiness, and it’s ok to take some detours before you reach your final destination.
G’day
David, my name is Helen and I live in Australia. I am a success, dating and relationship coach and a motivational speaker.
I believe in being the best and truest you that you can be. I believe if we all live up to the best of our abilities and skills, and those that we then want to acquire, all of life will be better.
I believe in my clients abilities to be the best and truest that they can be, until they start to believe it themselves. (oh, and then the fun wild ride can begin).
I believe in paying it forward. I believe we should all give 10% of our income or our time to those who haven’t begun to believe in themselves yet.
I believe in God.
I believe that I’ve taken so much crap onboard in my life that it took too many years to get rid of it, and it is always a work in progress. I now believe that anything is possible in life if you be your best and truest self. (on the diet side – in the last 4 years I have gone from a massive size 28 to a more managable Australian size 14, and still exercising and losing weight. I believe that I am very proud of myself and this is what I believe when I get up at 5.30 each morning to exercise.)
Who do I respect? I respect all people. If you look hard enough, each person will have a quality to respect. By respecting that part of them, they can grow it and become the greater.
Peace to all who read this, from Helen, a work in progress. (but oh, a fantastic journey!)
Hi David,
I’m Jill, and I believe in the inherent good of all people. I believe we are all connected. I believe what I do, and the intent behind it, affects everything everywhere. I believe one person can make a difference. I believe in the power of love. I have no idea what my life will be in six months, but I know it keeps getting better and better ,so the odds are in my favor that it’s going to rock!
Thanks for providing the forum for this!
my name is nicole.
i believe in others. i believe the power to vote is more powerful than who we vote for. i believe in optimism. i believe in lowercase letters and the pleasure of a good laugh. i define myself by being myself…quirky, smart, sweet, silly, with the best of intentions. i am not a blonde-stick-figure-trophy-wife and i dont want to be.
i believe that what you do is not necessarily a reflection of who you are or what your potential is. i believe most people need an advocate, or at least someone who they know is on their side. i believe in the potential of others and the potential of myself.
i respect my grandparents and anyone humble enough to say “i dont know”. i honor our military service personnel and those who are of service to their family, friends, community, nation, or even just another individual. i value the creative, the passionate, the humble, and the compassionate.
while i am great at helping and advocating for others, i am not good at doing the same for myself.
I believe in the power of self healing. I believe in the power of an apology and a smile. I believe that if I don’t believe in myself no one will do it.
Hi Jessica,
I haven’t talked to Desperate in awhile. She was really busy when last we talked, and I’ve been teaching twice a week also at the hospital…It hasn’t left me with much time to peruse the blog.
Hey David, I’m Nelson.
I believe in the Universe – freaking amazing thing I can’t stop loving, I believe in me – such a box of surprises, in Nature – such absolute equilibrium, and in the police force – putting their lives at risk for the wellbeing of everyone. Not to mention the goodwill of people in general, did you know the neurons that transmit good emotions are longer and thus faster than those that transmit bad ones, so it’s easier to feel good? (From “Social Intelligence” by Daniel Goleman I guess.)
Morally/ethically I believe in respect, responsability, friendship, tenacity and optimism.
How do I want my life to be? Simple, filled with lots of friends, a special girl, some kids, an exciting job and radical sports/martial arts.
Rock on,
Nelson.
I believe that my life, is what I choose to make of it. I think we are all here to learn, grow, have fun and experience all of life’s emotions. If we don’t what’s the point?
I was a shy/quiet kid, to scared to stand up for myself. As I grow up i am now finding my strength + weakness’s(chicks) and continuing to challenge myself. As I get better at life I want to help other people achieve their goals in life.
In 6 months I wanna have a nice gf and finish my trade.
hi dave,
i’m ronny, 22 yrs old and a long way from india. i chanced upon u all a few years back and since then i follow some of your thoughts and ideas and grow in the process.
anyways, when it comes to the matter of believing, i won’t say that i am best in every aspects, like looks, money, my career, or any other thing for that matter, but i believe that i can get up and stand strong, after falling for a number of times. i love my tenacity. LOL. i really find it hard to boast about myself. but it’s for sure, i love myself. love myself for the way i think about life, for the way i feel about life and the people around me.
i always preferred balance and level-headedness, and i try to be as much as a person can be. le me tell you, i have had my share of problems and all those things, kind of matured very early for all those things. just as an example, i am adopted as a child and don’t know my real parents.
i believe in the motto: get it or die trying! losing or giving up is not an option!
anyways, since u are related to the dating thing, i would also mention something here, i am on the process of developing my natural direct daygame approaching. find it hard, challenging and it interests me. take a number of years but i’m still gonna be that pua (some actually hate this term), who gets what and whoever he wants!
My name is Sandra and I believe in God, the power of love, and the power of words. I believe that if I live my beliefs, everything good in life will eventually come my way. I also believe that if a person were to accurately live these beliefs then the world would be a better place. With a belief in God, love, and words, all of the universal morals and local ethics would be followed and life would just fall into place.
I believe in myself and in the power of change and the ability to be strong in the presence of adversity!! I have come out shining after having been thrown a major curve ball in my life!! I believe in being proud of what I have accomplished (which everyone tells me is amazing)!! I believe in optimism and looking for what is positive in every situation . . . . . . . taking from everything a learning attitude!! If we learn from our mistakes . . . . . . . are they still mistakes????
I believe that we have to be thankful for what we do have . . . . . and have experienced . . . . . . . not what we do not have and have not been able to do.
I believe in our children . . . . . they are our future!! I believe that they need to be treated with respect and taught to value life and education.
I’m Diego, I just finished my Ph.D in Biology and this journey has strengthen my belief in hard work and dedication to reach your goals. I believe that this world will get a lot better when we stop listening to all the noise around us (distractions such as TV) and just focus on two simple things RESPECT and UNDERSTANDING. Respect means that you can do whatever you want as long as you are not affecting in a negative way the life of others. Understanding means that you are able to see the point of view of other people and work with them to improve their and your life, and on the way making positive impacts on those around you. I believe in truth and honor, which means that you should do what you say.
Hello hello!
This is Jared and I believe in ME. I also believe in intuition and that it can be developed very quickly if one chooses to. WE should believe ourselves more often. This is Finland, now, bye bye!
Hey david…how are you sweetie?? Jessica coaxed me to come say something here. Nice new format BTW I need to check out all the new…well new to me looks of the site….med stuff has my brain very occupied:)
I… Believe in L.O.V.E:)) It amazes me the beating a heart can take repeatidly and still have the ability to love….I have found love and am absorbed in the beauty thereof. God bless all and I hope to be around here periodically…I do miss the fun and interactions with everyone(O:
My name is Jared.
I can’t really think of much I believe in. I’m not religious, and I stoped believing in Santa Claus a while back. It seems that when I was born I was filled with so many beliefs and as my life goes on I start seeing that they all fail to hold water. I guess now that I really think about it I do believe in alot of things, I believe in atheism, I believe in the right to free speech and I beleive in the concept of karma. I believe that anyone can do most anything they set their mind to do once they release themselves from their SELF-LIMITING beliefs. I guess I have alot of beliefs that I like and want to keep and also alot that I want to change… like believing that I “don’t stack up socially” and that I am not what a woman would want. It’s strange how just writing those things down is actually phyiscally hard. They seem so petty and ludacris when I see them on the screen, yet I still hold onto them with such conviction, almost as if they are who I REALLY am, when infact they are actually KEEPING me from being who I want to be, and who I know I can be. Man that really screws with you… challenging your beliefs.. but it seems to be challenging in a healthy way.
I believe that people are in control of their own destinies. I believe people have the power to make decisions every day that will affect their lives. I believe this will be very very hard but in the end more worth it than imagineable. I believe people can attain any skill they desire and most things are skills. I believe everyone has the right to be happy every day and i believe this world should remain free from tyranny and terror. This world is for people who not only believe but also act.
Thanks you everyone for such an amazing post!!!!
I really enjoyed reading everyone of these and I appreciate all of you sharing on such a personal topic!!!
Hi David,
My names Derek, and I truly believe I have the power to acomplish absolutley anything, so long as I have the focus to do so. I’m only 21, but I know this is true because I’ve fought my shares of battles and have a couple huge accomplishments under my belt. One of which is my amazing story about how I used to be overweight (5’7@230llbs) and finally stepped up to make that change and get fit (I lost 70 llbs in roughly 7 months).
But that was nothing compared to the ongoing war I’m facing daily. For as long as I could remember, I’ve been such a loner. When I was younger, I always had the ability to make friends with classmates. I even got invited to birthday parties, and chatted up with these aquaintences of mine many times. But I rarely would ever hang out with these kids, and not interacting with people outside of the classroom and work still plagues me to this day. I’m not sure how it happened, but I developed this great fear which hindered me greatly…social anxiety.
Entering new environments, being in public, and talking to strangers was something I could not do 3 years ago. I couldnt even walk with my head held high, I’d moap around looking at the floor. I used to be content being alone, playing video games all day, and have tv rule my life. It was my comfort zone. I cant recall the day, but it happened and I have forever been unplugged from that so called matrix I’ve once lived in.
I’ve since gone through a dramatic change. I had to put so much effort, but I’ve become that guy who can spontaneously capture your attention. I live in the moment. I walk around with my head held high. I help those in need, I live for the adventure. I take every fork in the road that life throws my way. I can talk to anyone. I can befriend anyone. I just have to stay focused and keep plowing through because deep down inside I’m still a mess.
6 months from now, I wish to be organized and have the social and dating life I desire. Right now, I am happy where I’m at b/c I’ve reached a point that I know everything is attainable. It’s just I have lost my way, my focus, I’m all stressed out that I can barely get things done anymore. I need to do is focus in getting my life together. I’ll get there, I believe in myself.
I TRULY BELIEVE Pure Passion is the sweetest sanctified love that burns deep within ones soul with brazen holiness, with consuming consecration, desperately devoted to ONE soul-mate in unfailing faithfulness and divine purpose . The impenetrable walls of brokenness, rejection, fear and past pain melts like wax at its appearing. There is tangible peace and sacred harmony that makes it’s entrance by selfless desire that shines like the glorious stars above contrasting the darkest night as the ” love ” the world has to offer. This powerful presence was once foreboding, but now accents this genuine love that is found in our God alone and those who abide in Him. This Pure Passion has been a hidden treasure for thousands of years , and revealed to those who are searching for truth and the Undefiled Love . This love has true riches that have not graced the lives of the vast sea of humanity because they were not crying out for the One who’s hand has created all things who’s name is LOVE ! Pure Passion lives to die for the One who is the embodiment of the greatest love that compares to no other. It arrives like a knight in shining armor, wields it’s mighty sword to rescue, protect and pursue the one it’s heart longs after. It captivates and consummates in fidelity resting in divinity for its perfection. It grows like a wild fire driven by a vehement wind that has no boundaries but is eternal. This ardent love destroys every hurtful word spoken that has logged itself in the secret places of the fragile soul. It heals like the Balm of Gilead which is adorned with heart shaped leaves because of the grace of the Lord who has poured out from Himself His own life that we might live with such tender amazing love. He calls out to us to know HIM, and to be fully persuaded He will never leave us or forsake us as our carnal lovers always have done. Their motive was to steal our hearts to satisfy their own, and there in lies the keys to our private domains which were never meant for them, as they were only the facade of Pure Passion. They are base and full of sensual lust that was designed in the mind of the Predator, his name is the Devil, who defiles, destroys and devastates the vulnerable women and the wounded man. They whisper words of flattery with hidden intensions with no Conviction, to rob your purity and leave you in spiritual. emotional and physical poverty which leads to despair, depression , and ultimately death. They promise to keep your heart near theirs, and they do. The reality is their hearts are wicked and full of deceit and are consecrated to the one who dwells in darkness who schemes to draw you out of the light. Something enticing captivates you as you wander in the wilderness you were never meant to travel through alone, but rather in the company of the Holy Spirit , yes that’s what I said !. By circumstance and rebellion we travel the road called ” Fantasy ” and we are blinded by loneliness, the sensual lust of our eyes, the sexual lust of our flesh, and the sublime pride of life to see if these sensual pleasures will endure til the end, and they will. There is a way that seems right unto a man but the end there in is destruction every time. There are no favorites in the pit of Hell ! Even though you think you are so famous, and for a vapor of time to other lost and broken souls you just so rock baby ! In the light of eternity where you are destined to abide you will be conscious. Now if you don’t repent, meaning turn from your ways which are sin, to His ways of righteousness, you will be just one of millions , screaming out from the depths of your soul, in intense torment continually, burning in the lake of fire with all the evil doers, murderers, thieves, liers, whoremongers, witches, idolitors, and the like, demons and the great deceiver himself Satan . No one cares about you there, no bro’s and ho’s to party with ! Your so full of yourselves and each other, then in your blinded stupor you laugh, and believe this life as you perceive it, will just keep going until one day….YOU Darlin will be confronted by misery that leads to DEATH, THE GRAVE, WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH and then , oh God its to late ! Is dark , terrifying , the stench of death permeates the sulfur as it chokes you as you gasp for breath and find none, there is no exit, no applause for you, nothing cold to drink, no accolades for your accomplishments that stand above the rest as if you were really any kind of hero at all. No you never were. You are full of every kind of lust that has it’s great rewards while you have “a rock hard body” to heap them upon. What does it profit a man or women to gain if they could the whole world and it’s pleasures and forsake Christ for Pure Lust which Its Heading for Hell like no horror story can rightly portray ! Choose you this day who you will serve, your going to serve somebody for ever and ever!.
. Oh you laugh with your entourage of like minded thinkers and mock God saying, ” there is no God whom I am accountable to.” ! Oh yes there is , stop being a prideful fool! Wake up and understand every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. If you do it now, repent , you will be saved from the wrath of God to come that judges in truth and righteousness punishing sin where it is found with no respecter of persons. Deciding not to choose you will be choosing the lake of fire, that burns forever! I tell you the truth, you will writhe in complete agony begging to die!!! But now you are a legend, and ledgends do live forever many in outer darkness, aware of the truth you rejected the grace and love of Jesus and now and forevermore you shall understand you followed the Devil all the way home! He even told you who he is ! Truly we are all targets of the Satan, and your cooperation is greatly appreciated, you make it so easy to make Hell so populated with the most beautiful, the most rich, and the most gifted souls. Now with foresight imagine you are trading this short life, with maybe enough time to gain it all, then loose it all to someone else better than you. This temporal life you hold on to that peaks with ecstasy and declines to utter despondency sometimes all in a day baby. This life of yours with all its wounds and fleeting pleasure here today, gone tomorrow. Now imagin, view hindsight, and see if your sensual consumption is worth utter destruction of the life you so love to live. Its all about YOU Darlin…for eternity, somewhere, Pure Passion is living in Gods will, pure lust is living in your own dream world. Truth is real and you are so Passionatly Loved, please consider the destiny that waits for you. ( I am creating a brand new Dating Site for those who want “PURE PASSION ” ) …
Hey David my name is Sean Magin and i believe in always doing the right thing regardless of who’s watching. I believe not only I but every human being alive has the ability to accomplish anything we put our minds too. I believe everything in this world right now is interconnected in some subtle way and that each and every individual means everything to this world and our surroundings. I believe the way in which we percieve every task we perform is how we feel as individuals.
6 months from now David i hope to be personally satisfied with the way i communicate with not only women but all other human beings. Naturally I am a shy person but as of now (no telling if it will change or not) I have everything going for me and I believe that if i work hard enough to establish myself as a completely comfortable positive human being that the possibilities in life are limitless. I want to thank you so much for your site Mr. Wygant, from the day i began reading your blogs I have noticed huge changes. The great part is I am only 19 so I have quite some time to work on everything but i know like you say I MUST GET IT DONE NOW! Best of luck to everybody on this site and reading this and may all of your future endeavors be pleasant! Yall take it easy.
David, my name is Kevin.
What i believe in is hard to put into the proper words. I believe in love. In truth. In anything that results in open-mindedness. I believe everyone has the ability to be happy and should be given the chance by right. I believe that if you don’t like yourself, you can’t like other people. That a generation which ignores history has no past – and no future.
I believe everything in excess! To enjoy the flavor of life, take big bites. Moderation is for monks.
That one man’s theology is another man’s belly laugh.
That courage is the complement of fear. A man who is fearless can’t be courageous and is also a fool.
That a person should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, pilot a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
That the most preposterous notion that Homo Sapiens has ever dreamed up is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of all the Universe, wants the saccharine adoration of His creatures, can be swayed by their prayers, and becomes petulant if He does not receive this flattery. And yet this absurd fantasy, without a SHRED of evidence to bolster it, pays all the expenses of the oldest, largest, and least productive industry in all history.
That history does not record anywhere at any time a religion that has any rational basis. Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the unknown without help. But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from fiddling with it.
That the second most preposterous notion is that copulation is inherently sinful.
That Voltaire was correct in his observation that, “It is a figment of the human imagination to conceive that virginity could be a virtue.”
That a competent and self-confident person is incapable of jealousy in anything. Jealousy is invariably a symptom of neurotic insecurity.
That there is only one way to console a widow, but to remember the risk.
That music, literature, language and science are the only things that have kept our culture from degrading to the point of throwing feces at each other.
That science will end up either utterly destroying us or being our salvation.
That you DON’T NEED RELIGION to be a good person.
That you can find beauty in anything, it just takes an open mind.
I also agree with your “living in the moment” philosophy.
These are my beliefs; my “religion” if you will. I am always willing to defend what i know is right and stand up for those beliefs.
Some of my friends couldn’t agree more with me, and some have some very different thoughts about it. But we’re open-minded enough to respect each others opinions and go out and have a good time regardless. I look for, and love meeting new people. Whether they agree with me or not, I look for that ability to accept people for who they are, just as i have with the friends i already have.
As for the future, I am making plans to get into music production, but the most well thought out strategy crumbles at the first gunfire as they say. Who knows what the future holds? I’ll plan, adapt, but most importantly, be happy and live every day to its fullest.
You’re a help and inspiration to a lot of people David. Keep it up!
WOW LIZZY! Kudos to you girl….loved the read!(O: Blessings in abundance to you hun.
My name is William. I am a newbe to your blog. All my life I have lived with adversity. growing up I had a violent father. He beat me relentlesly, from the age of ten until seventeen. Through all this I have dedicated my life to being a good person.
when I was seventeen I left his home and completed school to get my diploma. The next step in my life to do good was to serve my country, so I joined the United States Marines. While in the Marines I fought and was injured in the bloodiest and first battle of operation desert storm. I was attached to 3rd light armored infantry in the battle of Kafji something no one got to see on CNN. The only record of that battle is written in some book that no one talks about.
In 1999 at the age of 28 I maried a woman who I thought was the woman of my dreams, My soul mate. we had two children, Aurora and Orion, a girl and a boy. Shortly after the birth of my son she became distant. She told me she was going to practice witch craft. this kind of took me by suprise, since we were maried in a chapel, and my daughter was christened in a church. Well My mistake was not to pay attention. I suported her in her decision and let her do her thing. Shortly after this I was notified by my doctor that I had Fibromyalgia and should look for another line of work. My wife didn’t like this because I was an Iron worker making thirty plus dollars an hour, twelve hours a day. And now I had to find something that wasn’t so hard on my body. About six weeks after this she told me that she Married a man and not a criple, and wanted me to go back to iron work. But the government had allready given me a full ride scollarship for a four year degree in anything I wanted to do. Also the government gave me $1000 a month to pay the bills. But she was having none of this. She was allready going to school and almost finished with her degree when she told me the news. She told me she wanted a divorce. I asked why and she told me she didn’t love me anymore. so now I am single again, and man I was only maried for three years, and I have completely forgotten how to talk to the women.
I am sorry about babbling. back to the main reason for writing this. What I truly believe in is integrity in everything I do in my life. all I own is honor, and my word. and nothing else matters in my life. the only thing I can do is instill Honor, Integrity, and selfconfidence in my children. I can live with the fact that I have never touched my children in anyway other way than to hug them and tell them I love them.
So what I truly believe in is no matter what happens in your life, and no matter how bad you think it is. if you treat every one around with respect, and honor, love, and be truthful with yourself. Then everything in your life will be better.
I’m Zanther and I believe in the work I’m currently doing. I’m increasing the quality of people coming into my field, giving them a strong mindset, being a good model for them, and as a result helping people everywhere who might one day be helped by them.
Right now I’m trying to be be more social and not care so much about interacting with girls. I care so much that it disables me, along with caring about what others think of me.
I’m also trying to keep my head above water, financially and with drama going on around me and not letting it affect me. Trying to be independent, resilient, and using this as a lesson in self-survival and self-reliance and keeping my own counsel (to a degree).
In six months, I’d like to have a much larger group of casual friends and have a much stronger bond with my inner group of friends.
