Hi David,
My friend send me your blog address to my email today. I am so glad that he did. As a woman, I agreed with you what you said. I always thought that having a more stuff will bring more dust to my life. It took me a long time to content with my life and I am still chasing " My happiness" in someway. Looking for that perfect " man" or " woman" that will bring me or you to be more happy? Not necessarily. And the more money will give us happiness. I think that a lot of people are confused with pleasure with happiness. The money will give you instant gratifcation or make your or my life a little more comfortable and easier life to live, but not necessarily bring you or me to be more happy.....

Great video, and I totally agree with the "bring the party with you" mentality.

BUT

This works with a medium-sized group of like-minded guys - like Bootcamp.

But how do you re-create this in your natural social group?? Just as was said, many guys just want to go out looking to score and chase the night.

Unless everyone understands this concept of bringing the party with you it doesn't work.

Any suggestions on leadership skills...to direct a bunch of unenlightened guys to have an unplanned evening where visiting a gelato shop is part of the fun?

I read an article by Mr. Wygant entitled "Man Talk." I found the ten tips to be something that would be logical conclusions, as in I would infer those things on my own. What about telling men about women's language. that seems a little more important because I feel like all I do is accomodate the man because he never looks at a situation from my or a woman's point of view, but he never takes time to interpret my "talk" I feel it should be 50/50. But even your article made it seem as thought the woman is the one who should give in. I already know how men are and think, and so there are many times I want to say something but let it slide because I know he doesn't think the way I do, as a woman. Men are the ones who need the tips. That being said, while I disagree with that article, this particular article on being rich, is right on the mark. I think these things every day. It is a constant battle within oneself to live like this (esp. in the US where so much value is placed on status symbols) , but it can be done. If everyone could read this article and work on themselves, changing the way they think, I sincerely believe that we could make some serious changes in this country.

i myself... am i work in progress,i'll be 30 next month (21th)
month, i'm back in
college.... have a shitty parttime job, living with parents... but i have to tell you, although i run into problem with some people about my situtation, i cant say i'm upset about it. i've been though some tough shit, and i've made the decision to go back to school and get the degree i always wanted. instead of trying to please other.... life is about doing something that you enjoy... and it's a marathon not a sprint. admist the turmoi and doubt i feel once in a while i know in my heart i'm doing the right thing... i know i'm far from perfect, but regardless, i know like david said everything is inside to do what i desire. i' ve blessed with wonder talent and a beautiful muse...why shouls not embrace it.
cheers,
  joe

I love myself and I love everything about me. I accept and embrace myself and am proud of who I am. I am grateful for the live I am privileged to live. These are words that I am only just beginning to tell myself. This is only another reminder of a recurring message of late: learn to love yourself. Look in the mirror and say "I love you". It is easier said than done, of course, and there will be more words of self-deflating than self-uplifting. Kindness to yourself is very difficult when you face the memories of past failures and the negativity of the world.

David, you are so right. What I or anyone needs is not 'out there'. It's inside. There is always something to be grateful for, always some ways in which we are rich.
