Today I want to share with you a simple exercise to help you easily come up with conversation openers. I’d say probably 7 times out of 10, when guys first get in contact with me for dating advice, it’s because they need help talking to women. Either they’re nervous around women or they have no idea how to start conversation with a woman.

You’ve heard me say a million times before that confidence is the key to success with women, but having great communication skills is just as important. In fact, I think most the time guys who freak out around attractive women, get nervous because they don’t know what to say.

If you’re not confident in your communication skills, and not sure of how to keep a conversation going, you’re going to feel nervous. It’s like jumping into a swimming pool if you can’t swim. It seems scary because you don’t know what you’re doing, and you’re not sure how to stop yourself drowning right?

If you try approaching a woman when you’re not a confident communicator you’re bound to feel edgy because you’re not in control. Like anything in life, the more you do something, and the better at it you get, the less intimidated you get. So, today I want to share with you a very simple exercise to help you boost your confidence, and give you the mental speed to come up with smart, interesting conversation openers, wherever you are, whoever you’re with, and whoever you want to talk to.

How To Practice Coming Up With Conversation Openers

Here’s what you’re going to do…

Everywhere you go, you’re going to make a mental note of everything going on around you. Obviously, I’m talking about doing this in your head too. I don’t mean start walking around talking to yourself or people will think you’re nuts. Look at your surroundings. What can you see? What shops are around you? What street are you on? Who can you see around you? Is anyone wearing anything weird or outlandish? What are they carrying?

Literally, keep track of everything going on, because everything there is something you can use to start a conversation. Everything you’re seeing is there to give you inspiration, and the better you get at noticing what’s around you, the quicker your mind gets at using it to create conversation.

See, most of us spend our time in our heads. Most the time you see people walking around and you can see they’re having a conversation with themselves in their head. They’re trying to figure out what they’re going to eat for dinner, or what they have to do at work. Whatever it is, they’re in their head and not in the moment.

Get out your head, get into the moment, build up your mental speed, and it becomes a million times easier to talk to women. It doesn’t have to be difficult. Honestly, try the exercise I show you in the video a few times, and I guarantee talking to people gets easier for you. Communication is the most natural thing in the world. We’re here to connect with the people around us. Every day, we have the chance to meet amazing people who can bring something new to our lives. Stop avoiding them because you don’t know what to say. If all else fails, Hello is always a good start!
