The pic ad is hilarious. When would blowing smoke in a woman's face ever work, smoker or non-smoker? On top of that, because of the 'tangy cherry or rich grap-y', she'll follow you. Wow, I think the cigarette bummers would have a better chance of starting a conversation. 'Smokers of America, do yourself a flavor...';'satisfaction of smoke without inhaling smoke.' Gotta love marketing!!! Thx

I hate that smokers drop their LIT cigarette butts. They don't even put out the cigarette; smoke is still emitting from it. That's gross and LAZY!!! Then their breath smells like an ashtray, and their clothes stink of smoke. They think that once they stop smoking that you can't smell the smoke on them! Really?!

I don't mind that a guy comes up to me to bum a cigarette; I don't smoke so he's immediately screened out. At least, that way the smokers will stick together.

I think the more work you have with yourself the more work you have with your relationship.

I do believe that a "great" relationship can just happen, but not before both parties have reached levels of work with themselves that left them in as close of state of now as possible, where we truly live in the moment.

When play is work and work is play, when you love yourself and the one you're with, then nothing worthwhile is truly hard. For a good relationship to continue to be good, it takes effort, time, energy, and attention. If you don't want to do something, then it is work. If you do, then it's not work. Good post.

Black Friday is a great opportunity to meet people. Most people will show up hours before the stores open and then just wait around with nothing better to do. So instead of going for the deals you can go and walk up and down the line just talking everyone and since it's obvious why they're there it shouldn't be too hard to start a conversation.

Unfortunately, I'll be working that night so the only time that I'll really talk to anyone is to ask them to move out of the way.

It all depends what you mean by "work." Does it mean lots of drama and emotionality? I wouldn't like that, but some people might. I don't really think it's mandatory in a long-lasting relationship, but it might be mandatory for certain individuals who like high excitement, high drama. I do a lot of work for my husband and family (raising children, having a career and taking care of a home), and it's nice for us that our relationship is something we get to "play" with. It's a break from the joyful yet also tedious responsibilities. (And that's one reason I read David's site as a married woman. There's lots of fun stuff on flirtation, which you still do when you've been married as long as I have -- 15 years.) I don't want to "work" on my relationship on top of all the other work I do; I picked wisely enough that I get to play almost all of the time when it's just the two of us. But this might very well be a semantic issue.

Man I have to say...David this was a powerful podcast. I was laughing because I can relate to experiencing fake fear feeling. I have observed the silly fear in other people in social situations. i can experience high and lows with the confidence factor. I need to know maintain that sky high level of confidence. Sometimes I can approach, interact with women that Im attracted and Im cool. But then other times I see women Im attracted to and I freeze up. What the bleep? i dont get it. im open minded free thinking and any input would be great.
David your material is brilliant and a great experience!
