Are you in a relationship that has become routine? Every night, you both come home from work, you make dinner, you sit there and watch television, you go upstairs, and you go to sleep. You’re both just going through the motions.

Creating emotion in everyone you speak to will really make you memorable.

There is a reason why I encourage people to take themselves out on a date on a Saturday afternoon. In order to become a good date, you have to first take yourself out on a date.

Let’s say it’s Saturday and I have to go pick out a pair of jeans. While I’m out, I’m going to talk to everyone I see based on observations I’ve made. I’m going to share things with them. You can’t expect a woman to even be remotely interested in you unless you share something about yourself with her.

During these tough economic times, one of the things you need to know how to do is something I call “recession-proof dating.” I really get sick and tired of people using the recession and the bad economy as an excuse why everything in their life not only isn’t working but CAN’T work. That’s completely untrue!

Life goes on regardless of the state of the economy, and you can have an amazing dating life no matter what the state of the world’s (or your own personal) economy is like. In fact, there are many things you can do during these tough economic times to enjoy an amazing life while still making sure that your dating life doesn’t lead you to become a victim of the current economic downturn.

I always get emails from people about dates, and what are the best things to do on them. People are always asking me, “is dinner and a movie okay?”

Sure, dinner and a movie are great – if you want to sit there in silence and stare at a screen for two hours. You drop them off at the end of the night and you haven’t learned a thing about them the entire evening!

Your goal on a Sunday (you can do it on a Saturday too) is to take yourself out on a date all day long.

I used to do this when I lived in Manhattan. I would wake up at 10:30, take a shower, and then decide which direction I was going to go that day. I’d go left, I’d go right, or I’d go straight.
