I also get a lot of women who email me and say something like, “I wish my boyfriend was more romantic.” Let me tell you something. There are also a lot of men who wish their girlfriend was more romantic.

For those women out there who are looking to be more romantic for your man, or to really light a fire in your relationship, here are seven quick tips on how to get your man to feel romantic:

1.Candles Are Not Just A “Woman Thing”: Candles are not only for women. Show your romantic intent by lighting candles all throughout the house that he’ll see when he walks through the door. It’s romantic, and it makes a man feel wonderful. So many women think that candles and champagne are things only women like. In reality, though, men react the same way to those things. A lot of men will set a romantic example of what they want by the romantic things they do for women, hoping the woman will do things like that back to him.

2.The Power Of A Simple Kiss: There is so much power in a simple kiss — a simple hello kiss, a simple goodnight kiss or a simple kiss before you leave in the morning. All of these things are romantic to a man. They make a man feel connected to you throughout the day. Those kisses make him feel wonderful in a way that lingers and will have him thinking about you all day long.

3.The No Special Reason Text: Send your man a simple text in the middle of the day saying, “Hey babe. I can’t get you out of my mind.” It will make him feel really good all day long. It will also make him feel very romantic as well.

4.Just A Note To Say…: It’s funny. A lot of men go out there and buy flowers for their woman or will write her a card, but how many women write their man a card? Think about writing your man a card just for the sake of it being a nice romantic gesture. You go to the supermarket or the drug store and you see a great little card there. Buy it, write him a little note and then leave it on his pillow so he’ll see it before he leaves in the morning. That way he can read it all day long. It is a great way to make a man feel romantic.

5.The Unexpected Surprise: Think about a way to surprise your man. Set a night where you will surprise him and he will not be expecting it. Instead of the usual Friday or Saturday night where you say “Hey babe, what do you want to do tonight?,” why don’t you create and plan a night for him. Take him out for a great meal or take him to a ball game. Take the initiative.

It’s amazing how men and women crave the same things, but yet don’t understand the dynamics of what their actions cause. Although a romantic night for a woman may be different than a romantic night for a man, it’s really all about the effort that you put into the night that makes the other person feel warm, special and romantic.

6.Set The Mood: Setting a special mood at home makes a man feel romantic. When he comes home from the office, for example, you could have his favorite music playing, rub his shoulders and tell him you want to hear all about his day. It’s the simple things like this that make a man feel romantic. Allowing a man to share his day with you makes a man feel very romantic.

7.Those Three Little Words: This one may seem a little too simple to you, but there is nothing that makes a man feel greater and more romantic than hearing the words “I love you” come out of your mouth. Say it when he walks through the door or when he helps you with something. It’s the unexpected ‘I love you’ that really gets men feeling amazing. Hearing a woman say “I love you” after a fight makes a man feel appreciative, special and romantic — especially when it is said from the heart.

It’s quite simple to make a man feel romantic. In so many ways, it is no different than the things a man can do to make you feel romantic. A lot of couples make the mistake of not doing these kind of things on a regular basis, and the romance dies as a result. It is the little things that make each other feel great and make each other feel romantic.

So if you are in a relationship that’s stagnant, feels like it’s just not ‘clicking’ anymore or in which the romance has died, then using even one or two of these tips will help you get the fire burning again. When you start doing romantic things for someone else and see their reaction, it will make you feel more romantic too.

There is one big Valentine’s Day lesson I want all of you to learn. It is about how to make Valentine’s Day exciting for both sexes.

How do you do that? It’s very, very simple.

Men are extremely visual. Why do you think a lot of men go out and get their girlfriend lingerie on Valentine’s Day?

Women want to feel romanced. They do not necessarily want Valentine’s Day to just be dinner reservations. They want men to come up with something creative.
So to make Valentine’s Day exciting for both sexes, both sexes have to be thinking about what the other one wants.

If you are the woman, you can have a visual surprise for the man. It could be lingerie. I heard about one woman who dressed up as cupid for her man and shot him with an arrow.

It’s all about the visual of seeing you in a different light — seeing you in something sexy. It’s realizing that you have something sexy in store. You could maybe rub oil all over each other or whatever it might be.

What you want to do is something different than what he sees on February 13th and February 15th. It’s that simple.

For the men, you need to understand that what women really want is for you to just make a little extra effort on that day. That’s all, just a little extra effort.

Instead of just buying flowers, come up with something like I talk about in the podcast. You could do a home picnic. Maybe light some candles all over the house.

It’s really all about really creating a different and romantic experience for her, so she feels like you went the extra distance that day to make her feel just a little more special. It’s not about the gift; it’s about the act of showing love. That’s really what does it for women.

So men are visual and women feel the act of love. The sexes are really very simple, but yet both sexes seem to screw up Valentine’s Day on a regular basis. Why? For no reason except ego.

The men don’t like Valentine’s Day. They think it’s too commercial; it’s a “Hallmark holiday.” They don’t see the need for Valentine’s Day because they feel like they show their love every day.

The women in turn don’t understand the need to make Valentine’s Day fun for the men. When you wake up in the morning, come out of the bathroom wearing a sexy little nightgown (instead of your old bathrobe) and put on some mood music. Do something to stimulate his visual side.

Play off each other’s wants and desires. It’s that simple. Play off each other’s innate personality traits on Valentine’s day and you both will have a more phenomenal day than you ever imagined.

Do you realize that Super Bowl Sunday is the man event of the year? Now, I know a lot of women also watch it and enjoy it, but this is a man’s event.

This is an “Oh my God, why doesn’t Hallmark have a line of Super Bowl cards?” type of important event to men. This is a day that a man wishes his girl could find a card to give him that says:

To My Honey On This Super Bowl Sunday…

Enjoy it even though I know I know your team is not in it.
Enjoy it even though you are neutral.
May your love of the game outweigh your sadness that the Jets lost in the Championship Game.
So may this Super Bowl XLIV be a special day for you.

Imagine if Hallmark did it like that. Hallmark is missing Super Bowl cards. That would be amazing.

Do you know what Super Bowl cards would be? They would be for men the equivalent of a woman getting a Valentine’s Day card.

Not only that, there should be Super Bowl gifts like there are on Valentine’s Day. You could buy your man some man-lingerie. Think about it. You could get him a tighter fitting NFL Jets jersey (or a jersey from his favorite team) and some matching New York Jets underwear. It would be the equivalent of women’s lingerie.

Can you imagine that on Super Bowl Sunday? The man wakes up to a present of some great man-lingerie. There it is . . . his favorite team’s logo on some tight shirt and shorts that he can wear and show off his muscles to you.

Then maybe there could be other gifts to go with the man-lingerie. How about some Jets Soap On A Rope? Perhaps some New York Jets cologne.

Who knows what could be created to celebrate this most amazing of man days? I’m telling you, the NFL and Hallmark missed a huge day, because men all over the world could have been getting cards and man-lingerie from women.

Here’s the thing. Valentine’s Day is women’s Super Bowl Sunday.

It is so many men’s failure to see Valentine’s Day this way that causes them to put no effort into it and make lame reservations. It also causes them to not understand how doing that leaves women feeling really disappointed.

Picture you as a man meeting your girlfriend at your annual Super Bowl party with all your friends, and she shows up with a can of cheap bean dip (instead of actually making the amazing bean dip from her Grandmother’s recipe). How could she do this to you on your special day?

Well that is the same type of feeling a woman gets when you make lousy reservations or lame plans for Valentine’s Day. So all of you men need to think about Valentine’s day this year.

I also know that some of you are not in the “Valentine’s Day Mode” because you do not have a girlfriend or a date on Valentine’s Day. So instead of being depressed and angry that you don’t have a date, call one of your friends and say, “Let’s do a Valentine’s Day pub crawl” or “Let’s have an anti-Valentine’s Day party. But here is the rule: Everybody has to invite a new person who is single and that no one in the group knows.”

This way, you can have a great time and expand your social network at the same time. You know I talk all the time about important this is to do.

It’s so funny. As a man, we are so visual. We get so caught up with “the hot girl” that we tend to really never think about what it would like to hang out with her.

Can you imagine having a woman like the one Will met over for Thanksgiving dinner? She gets asked what she’d like on her plate, and she screams “drumstick!!” at the top of her lungs.

This person does not match who you are. This is not your personality style at all. This is not a person with whom you would get along.

So forget the fact that your penis is attracted to her, because that’s really all that is happening. Your eyes are attracted to her. Your penis felt some movement because it was attracted to her. That is all there is to it though.

It’s called penile attraction. Thank God it’s not fatal, because if it was a fatal attraction then other things would happen.

It is just penile attraction. That is all it is, so walk away from it.

You don’t vibe with her. You don’t relate to her. You two have totally different personalities. So walk away.

Women who have a lot of masculine energy need to dress more sexy. They need to put themselves out there a little bit more.

Do you know what masculine energy is?

Masculine energy in a woman can be a woman who is very successful in her career. She competes with men all day long, so she’s basically masculine. She’s battling men all day long in the business world, so she’s masculine.

She’s looking for a raise. She has to fight her boss, so she’s masculine.

When she goes on a date, she takes that same masculine with her, and takes the guy’s balls and chops them into a million little pieces. When a man is trying to flirt with a woman on a date who has a lot of masculine energy, she basically ends up going into interrogation mode.

She will talk to him the same way she would talk when she’s trying to negotiate a business deal. She doesn’t bring out her feminine energy.

So what is feminine energy and what does it look like on a date? Feminine energy is dressing sexy, flirting with the guy, leaning in when he talks and looking directly in his eyes. Those are one part of it.

Another part of it is learning how to throw a bone to a guy every so often, and then making sure he jumps on it. Learn how to give a man clues, and give him the opportunity pick up on them and take the lead.

That’s how a woman should act around a man. Throw a bone then allow him to lead. You want him to take action.

You don’t want to be the one taking the action all the time. Every time you take action, you emasculate him.

I mean, most guys may not initially see it like that, but eventually it will deteriorate the type of relationship you have. If you want a “guy’s guy,” you have to give him a bone every so often and make sure he picks up on it.

Now I know there are some people reading this right now who are mistakenly thinking that I am telling women to be passive and submissive to men. I am actually saying the opposite.

A big part of feminine energy is being open. It is also being the decision-maker in terms of choosing men with whom you want to be willing at times to be led. It’s allowing yourself to surrender at appropriate moments.

So how do you develop your feminine energy, and feel amazing and sexy in your own skin? Take a look at your body type.  Take a look at the type of woman you are.  

Start looking through magazines which contain pictures of women with your body type. If you’re a little heavier, look at magazines that have heavier women in there so you can see how they dress sexy.  

Go to a store and get a makeover.  Find a way that you can express your sexuality.  

Men are attracted to all body types. The key thing here, though, is that men are attracted to sexy women of all body types.  

So women really need to explore that a little bit more, so that they can use their feminine energy when they start flirting with men. Doing that will get you noticed so much more — and you, as a woman, will also start to have a lot more fun in your dating life.

You have this amazing chemistry with this person. You’ve let that amazing chemistry go and take off on its own, but do you really communicate with your lover all your desires? Do you share your innermost desires with your lover?

What turns most of us on the most, is when our lover tells us what they need, how they feel and what kind of lover they desire us to be. Those things make you feel good.

If you think about it, we go into any sexual relationship with a certain skill set. Each person with whom you have sex, though, is a different person. You want each person who becomes your lover to be your unique lover.

If you are progressing and growing in life, then your current lover should be the most incredible lover you’ve ever had. If you’ve learned from each of your relationships and embraced the lessons from each of those relationships, then each lover should be the most amazing lover you’ve ever had.

As you’re embracing the lessons, you need to express yourself more with each person. It’s so important to express yourself with your lover, because in order to have things get better and better with your lover, you need to tell each other things.

Maybe you are not the kind of person who talks about how you feel about your lover all the time, but maybe hearing how much you desire them is exactly what your lover wants to hear. This is the kind of thing you need to know.

Maybe you’re someone who is not very adventurous in bed. If your lover is very adventurous in bed, then you’ve got to become more adventurous so you can play with each other.

You’ve got to learn each other’s needs — physical, mental and emotional — and be fully aware of them. That is how you will get to new levels of intimacy with your lover.

In life, we crave incredible levels of intimacy. We crave levels of intimacy we’ve never before experienced.

Are you someone who controls yourself if your lover goes down on you? Are you always in control of yourself in bed? Do you think too much?

Express all of that to your lover. Talk about all of that with them so the two of you can get you past that, and so you can bring each other even more pleasure.

We all do this in one way or another. So we all have to learn how to really get closer with each other and how to touch each other’s heart even more.

If you’re not doing these things with your lover, you may start to get frustrated and then your confidence in the bedroom is going to start to dissipate. If you don’t know how to make your lover come or if you don’t know what your lover likes the most, you need to learn.

It might be as simple as changing the way you move your hips or a small change in the way you touch them. Whatever it is, learn it! So if you really want sex with your lover to be amazing, it’s time you really succumbed to each other.

Sexting is really all about escalating. I am not trying to sound like a pickup artist (as most of you well know!), but when you’re dirty texting back and forth you really want to take the woman on a journey.

Think of sexting like a road heading into the mountains. The road starts out nice and flat, but you want to test things out ahead of time. You want to make sure your tires are sound and that the brakes will work.

So to do that, you will send something very simple like, “I had a thought . . . ” If she takes the bait, she’ll text you back asking you what that thought was.

Then you can write, “Well, last night I had this dream about you . . .” When you do that, you’re testing a little bit to see if she goes for it. This is good, because if you really had a dream about someone, you would probably share it with that person in bursts (and not all at once).

You want to be able to take it slowly. Really, this is mental masturbation! If you can get her to mentally masturbate about the thought of you having sex with her, she’s going to want to sleep with you when you meet up. So you’re really just testing the road.

It’s also about being 100% in control. For instance, you can say something like, “Yeah, last night I learned about this new position, and it was really hot. So, how’s your trip to D.C.?”

It’s a giveaway-takeaway. You want to constantly give and take away from her.

The more you do that, the hotter she will become. You’re teasing her.

It’s really the same thing with sex. The guy who goes straight for the vagina and pounds away is not going to please the woman. The guy who massages, loves and cherishes the woman is the one who is going to get that woman totally hot.

It’s the same thing for sexting and for sex. Everything is about foreplay. Life is about foreplay.
