When you’re dating and you’re having sex, it’s always fresh. The sex is always fun, it’s always new and exciting. You’re really exploring a new person, there are always new ways to connect with each other, and every day it feels like you’re finding out something new about each other.
But in relationships, the sex can get monotonous.

Recently I did a podcast about what your past dictates, what you can learn from it, and how you can formulate a whole new future. One thing you should know about me is that when I coach others (by doing things like creating my podcasts), I really learn a lot about myself.
I learn about my own issues and my own “stuff,” like my own fears that I may not even have realized I had. I am not talking about fears having to do with when I coach guys how to approach women. I have zero apprehension about that.

Whether you understand it now or not…
Whenever people tell me they’re in pain, or they feel like the world’s coming apart, I always tell them everything happens for a reason. There’s a lesson in everything.

What a great group of men at this bootcamp, we’ve been having such a blast so far! This morning we were at Borough Market in London meeting new people, engaging so many interesting women, and generally just having a great time and sending out a great vibe.
The food at Borough Market is always fantastic. I’m such a food guy too, what I really wanted to do was sample some of everything. I wanted one big, gigantic combination plate of the best food that the market has to offer.

When we get involved in a relationship, why are we always searching for that perpetual carrot?
It’s amazing that when we’re unsatisfied in a relationship — feeling like our partner is not satisfying our needs, wants and desires — that we feel afraid to tell them. It’s amazing that we are afraid to be that open, honest, raw and vulnerable with our partner.

Have you ever been involved in a relationship where it just went the other direction, and you always think about what it was like the first three months or the first six months?
It seems like in the first three to six months of a relationship, you actually do things for the other person. You make nights special. You light candles for each other. You make sure nights are romantic. You make love for hours instead of minutes.

I was having a great conversation with my coach Shogo today and we were talking about men who treat women as their possession. A lot of very wealthy men, especially men in the financial industry and the entertainment industry, have a frequent tendency to treat the women in their lives as their possessions

Here’s the situation, and this applies equally to men and women today:
You’ve met somebody you’re really jazzed about. You’ve exchanged phone numbers. You notice the area code is different than yours, so you ask them with some hesitation, “Where do you live?” They immediately tell you, “Oh, I’m just in town for the weekend.” BUT–they visit often, and still they’d still like to get together the next time they’re in town.

There you are. You’re walking down the aisle.
You can’t believe that you’ve made it this far.
The date that you have planned for tonight? Well, it’s worked out. Oh yes, you know everything about it! It doesn’t matter that it’s presently 2011–it doesn’t matter at all. You can see the future. Years down the road, you’re able to look into the future and know exactly how that date’s going to go tonight.

I get this question from from readers all the time. “David, Help! I’m dating two people, and I can’t keep my stories straight. I don’t remember what I said to one person, and now they’re starting to blend. How do I keep these two people separate?”
My answer to this question is: Concentrate a little more, and remember what is distinctly different between the two of them.
