As some of you guys who’ve been following the blog lately may know, I’ve been in New York apartment hunting the past few days. It’s my old stomping ground, so while I’ve been here, I’ve also been going out a lot catching up with old friends.

Hey everyone, Intern Dan here with my first blog post.

So, lately I’ve been hearing a lot of guys making the “observation” that women always say they want a “Nice Guy” but then end up with the total jerk. In my circles, this is one of the most common reasons why guys think they don’t get dates.

These girls are my favorites. They love to threaten. They are constantly threatening: “If you don’t drop everything right now and show up, I am never seeing you again.”

What? Even if you’re actually busy? I can’t believe that.

I was at a friend’s house for a BBQ recently, and a few of them were planning on going out to bars that night. I started talking to two guys, really cool guys, who were asking me for tips on where to go out and meet women. One of them was in a relationship, so it was the other guy who wanted to meet somebody that night, maybe get some phone numbers.

I wrote a recent blog about fuckation, which is when you’re in a
relationship, you just go and screw each other’s brains out for 48
hours in a random hotel and have a blast. A lot of you got appalled.

The question I always get all the time is where do you go on a first date.
I’ll tell you where you don’t go. You don’t go to a movie, you don’t sit there in silence, wondering what she’s thinking, who she is, and feeling all uncomfortable wondering what to say after the movie.

It’s Friday night. You’re a bit tired from the week’s work. You think to yourself, “I really should go out tonight and meet people.

Bars. Obviously not the most romantic of places to meet someone. But if it happens, it happens, right?

How often have you gone out and the only guys you talked to all night were either self-absorbed players, Mr. Socially Awkward, or a normal guy-who ruined it by having to get drunk to build up the nerve to come talk to you? Not to mention the creepy stalker guy who hovers around you and your friends for half the night.
