"You're single...why don't you have a boyfriend?" like being single is some sort of personal defect. Does mental health automatically bequeath everyone a significant other? The true reason for my being single is because I wanted to be. I was in a relationship for 7 years, and he wasn't cutting it for a number of reasons, and I thought we should go our separate ways, and I regret nothing and have been happily single and dating for two years now. No baggage or "issues" to speak of. I'll be thrilled when I meet someone new to start a relationship with, but I'm not going to start one just to start one because women are supposed to have boyfriends, like an accessory. You know? Or an elderly couple that their kids are grown and out of the house will adopt a pet just to keep them company. But in some ways you are right but did you know that is a good way to get a companion.
