I think Over-exaggerating means to generalize things too much (which, of course, is a generalization on its own). If you generalize your opinions about the world, the world will react in that way. If you think everyone’s bad, you will get that as a response (which, in turn, will confirm your worldview even more).

If you generalize, do it on the positive end. Or just don’t! I love going into each new day as if everything was different, walking about in a curious way to discover how the world works today.

People are the most random creatures. Almost anything is possible, if you leave them the room to do so. Limiting your possibilities by generalizing leaves out a big nice portion of the world!
