I have been spending a lot of time thinking about something that really means a lot to me. Life, to me, is all about balance. Life is all about pursuing what you want to pursue.
After eleven years of coaching, I’ve made a very BIG decision: This is going to be the LAST year I will be coaching Bootcamps and my last year doing one-on-one coaching in person.
This doesn’t mean that I will not have Bootcamps after this year. It means that after this year my Bootcamps will be coached entirely by my team of coaches. It means is that 2009 will the last year I am going to personally coach any Bootcamp.
My life has changed a lot over the last eleven years. I am now in a relationship, and there’s something about going out meeting women every weekend that just doesn’t resonate with me anymore. This is, therefore, going to be my last year personally coaching Bootcamps.
Now don’t get me wrong . . . I’m not getting married and moving to Canada for some free healthcare or anything. It’s just that my goal now is to reach as many people as possible, which I feel I can best do through the Internet, via phone/email coaching and through my Community Site.
I’m going to post my entire year’s schedule on the website. Be aware, though, that I am keeping all of my remaining Bootcamps very small and intimate, so slots will be very limited.
Once these slots are sold out, that’s it. I won’t be adding any additional Bootcamps or slots to the schedule.
So if you want to learn from me in person and have me personally teach you the skills I teach, then I’d contact me at david@davidwygant.com as soon as possible and secure a spot for yourself in one of these Bootcamps.

Holy Cow! But I do understand what you mean and your motivation for doing so.
I wish you all the best and if I’ve learned one thing from you (I’ve actually learned more than I can reasonably count without a calculator) it would be that as long as you make decisions with confidence and from the heart, you are never wrong, no matter what the outcome. Once you have true faith in yourself, it never leaves. Good luck in the new year!!!

I truly admire you can make running your own business a success. I myself have that “corporate mentatity”, been at the same Hi Tech company (succesfully) for 24 yrs. So it always amazes when someone like you can make a living in such a different way.
David,
To be fair, I took a modified bootcamp, but I did learn a lot. The most important thing I learned was to enjoy myself with whatever I do and to not be outcome dependant. Outcome dependency is the hardest thing I had to learn as a writer because the type of work I do lends itself well to always searching your mind for what the possibilties are. And I’ve always enjoyed my work so it was a matter of using one part of my job, the joy of it, and losing a different part, the outcome dependency (its not completely gone yet).

Working for yourself if you have the mind for it is one of the most rewarding experiences I can think of. My brother is the opposite. But the only difference is I don’t ever dream of doing what he does in a suit and tie all the time. I show up to meetings in t-shirts and get the respect I need because of how good I am at what I do and not because of how good I am at following others. (no disrespect intended at all)
Coaches I am excited for you too, David has taught you and now you get a chance to do all by yourself. Good luck to everyone
David, A guy like Tom is one that needs the true meaning of what you teach, his anger we can do without, but then you can’t please everyone. A business that is your true passion is a part of your soul, let it lead you where it will. We will all still benefit from your enthusiasm. Good move. You have come along way! I have only been with you since the last part of last year. There are times that we must move on. When you have done all that you can now it is up to us to make that major step we can either sit in front of the computer or look like a couch potato dreaming of the right person to come along and sweep us off our feet. Hey how lengthy is lengthy. There are people when they talk to me want to give me a detailed story of what happened. You blog what you want to blog if they don’t want to read it then wait for the next one. I bet it was not free when you paid all of those people to give us this blog area. There are people you just can’t satisfy enough. How much do you want to bet if a place as big as Wal Mart is going to allow someone something for free. No they would call that shoplifting. And the blog about space invaders hey I loved reading it. There may have been something there that was important for us to catch onto.
Go out and live your example and sometimes we must have time to ourselves it helps air out the mind and gives us time to come up with ideas. May God be with you and yours and guide you where you shall go in life. Like I say a person’s gotta do what they gotta do.

David, I am sure you are very fully aware how difficult is to take a very personal service, scale it and mold it to something “bigger”, more corporate and at the same time keep it at that personal level. You need to rebrand these bootcamps dude…you just can’t call them David Wygant bootcamps anymore:-)

I have one for you. I have read about the do’s and dont’s of online dating. Here are a few both of my daughters have ran across. One of these I had to take care of last year you can read about it in my life’s journal on the community.
1. Don’t tell someone that you are going to commit suicide while talking on the phone to them.
2. Don’t pretend to be a twenty some year old while being 86 years old.
3. Don’t claim that when you are on IMVU that you are collecting sex slaves.
4. Don’t tell someone that is kin to that person a secret you don’t want told and tell them you may have a brain tumor.
5. Remember if you want to respect your privacy and don’t want others to read don’t put on the internet for all to see.
6. Don’t claim to serve the military unless you are.
7. Last but least don’t get me the mother involved or else.
8. Don’t have me make up a death list and be the one who wants to see my one of my daughters.
9. Before coming out do a background check on them and make sure they are not on America’s Most Wanted list.
This is something to really blog about.
Most of all I am not the only mother that has problems like this. This one mother said she wanted to hurt someone over her underage daughter and come to find out this man was old enough to be her dad.
Oh I have one that will top the charts there is this guy who is interested in my youngest daughter told her that he fell and hurt is leg. Now I am aware that guys do have three legs. Well my youngest daughter asked him if hurt anything else but she was meaning did he bruise something like his elbow. Then he goes to my oldest daughter and says I believe your sis was referring to my cock. I said to my oldest daughter please give your sis a break I did not raise her to be a slut puppy. My youngest daughter said to me mom I am not wanting his cock I was just wondering how bad he hurt his leg.

David, the world is being flooded with guys dressing like clowns and spewing routines. We need you on a larger scale. Now that you aren’t coaching, how about things like this:
1.) Do a reality show where you take guys and show them they don’t need routines and teach them to stay in the moment. You wouldn’t kick them off the show and you would help them grow. And also you could explain getting a number means little without a connection. We need you on TV.
2.) How about a superconference with other lifestyle coaches. Imagine you with Tony Robbins, David Deida, Brian Tracy, and Deepak Chopra. How cool would that be?
3.) Do a programs specifically on things not directly related to finding a mate. How about Wygant’s program on confidence, or fashion, or finding your purpose, or how to relax?

I know the feeling it’s both sad and exciting at the same time.
I am really happy that there are people out there that can attract people where their first response might be superficial as to be able just to get more girls, but as they go down that path through this way of living you are changing them. They just didn’t know before it was too late to go back to their PUA ways. Once you have gone this way you will do anything to get back on track.

Why don’t we chose the coaches we want to be coached by? I would chose either Khiem if he would take the time to listen instead of questioning me every word. I bet one thing is a Capricorn and they are good for that. Warning if you lead the conversation then next thing you know the person is agreeing with you. Khiem no offense but you need to let the person decide if that is the way they want it. It is like being a Doctor that is a Capricorn and a patient comes in to see you. Well the doctor is leading the conversation and has not listened to the reason why the patient is there and next thing you know he is prescribing him meds that he does not need. Take the time and listen to what the other person says. The conversation is not about you it is why they came to you in the first place.

But Yakub let you in on a secret I wont plaster anything on face book that I don’t want some one to see that knows me. Give the coaches a certain amount of people to coach. Make a list of people even here on the blog that is interested in getting their lives straight and want to make something of themselves.

Sandra, as in any country even within the country there will always be girls that would not speak and some that will. Where I am from in Europe we girls talk an ear of and we will not hold back. Most girls I have meet from UK are not quit ones, they speak their mind. I have meet as many women in the states that either speak freely or not just like in Europe. Granted few countries does not favor a talking woman.

Although we have not formally met through your bootcamps, I do post the occasional comment and read the blog daily. I feel that even just through your blogs and youtube videos, you have helped me realize things about myself in regards to dating, and general life lessons, so I thank you, and wish you the best in reclaiming your weekends in 2010.
That’s the big difference between you and the PickUp boys: you don’t depend on approaching and meeting women to feel good about yourself. Your life is not wasted on pursuing women and getting their validation and approval.
You have a complete different level of consciousness regarding attraction, and your decision only proves it.
My work here in Portugal is similar to yours, and I am proud to know that there’s a dating expert colleague that has pleasure on having an intimate relationship with a woman, and that has true fascination and consideration for a woman.
And I’m sure your team will make an excellent work.

Yea, and when people don’t have self love they will try to get it from other people… and there’s when the games of manipulation and control begin (hey man I need some routines lol).
And when they go to a relationship it’s no necessarily because they like the other person for the Being that person is, but because they like what they’re getting from the other person: validation. And when they’re not getting it, they have all the “I Hate You” and victim reactions.
They are in the relationship to get, not to give, share and contribute to the other person’s life. And that’s what not allowing guys to attract, meet and naturally connect with women: they approach to get something and not to share or contribute to the woman’s life… or at least day (or night).
But we both know it was because the routine wasn’t good enough right?
its a new routine they need… or a new collection of smart-but-dishonest-answers and fake stories with advanced language patterns and powerful hypnotic abracadabras… no wait! I know… its a new superhero-world-of-warcraft-nickname they need! lol

That is true but there is one couple that comes into Wal Mart and they are from another Country and you can tell he beats on her. I was watching a documentary about Honor Killing In America where this Egyptian married this woman and would not allow their daughters to associate with American men. Well to make a long story short he ended up killing the two daughters in cold blood for just disobeying him and dating American men. And he also beat their mother.
I am glad to be an American Woman for I feel we have come along way. Back when our grandparents were alive women stayed home and the men worked now it is different today since Women’s Lib. Oh matter of fact I am not apart of that.

David- just wanted to drop a note saying I really, really appreciate the free stuff you do put out there. It has helped me already. I’ve started to take active steps and I feel improvement in myself. Also a bit of torture though- even the prices of the website are out of my range. I guess you could argue it’d be money well spent… or “how much is finding the right girl worth?”… but that doesn’t chance economics! Not blaming you for making a living (looks like it’ll be a fine one). I can see the marketing, but just hoping that you don’t forget the little guys out there! Even though we can’t show our appreciation with sales, don’t mean the thanks is not there! Keep up the amazing work!

Your energy has been amazing to experience and you have without a doubt showed me mine. Spending time with you on the bootcamps was an absolute blast, and I hope one day to have that much strength and initiative as to create such an experience for other people myself.

It interesting, I too have noticed how life is always evolving and things change. Circumstances change and we change. Goals that you had, say 5 years ago are much less of a priority.
We all want happiness at the end of the day and what makes us happy will always evolve. I suppose that as long as you are doing the best you can keep moving. Its all good.
