I read part of what someone said: It looks like someone has paid a visit to hillbilly country and was thinking Mayberry. Hey what about shotgun weddings?

David,

No offense, but I think you were smoking some Pineapple Express today when you wrote this blog. Or just before you wrote this blog.

What Kheim said. I don't want my mother walking around talking to every cute girl in the restaurant or wherever, pointing over at me and saying, "I'd like you to meet my son. He's a real nice boy. You two should go out together. I trained him real good. He picks up after himself & everything. I'll even pay for your first date together. What time should he pick you up? Yada yada yada."

"Mommy wing Woman"

A girl comfortable with herself would find it hilarious, if the combo Mom Son/Daughter is a dynamic duo, then this could be a great way of meeting someone else. I would sit down and have tea with them right on the spot.

As a mom I can way too easily see myself do this thing. My husband actually did this for his older son, when they were at the beach and this girl turned out to be a great girlfriend.

LOL David! This would be super fun to do except.... what would that say about you?

"You are a mama's boy"
"You aren't manly enough to talk to a woman"?

Those are some pretty harsh "impressions" that a woman could pick up from you if you were doing that game.

Besides, don't they have a TV show that kinda does that already? There's that dating show about meeting the mom before you meet the daughter... forgot the name of it.

Considering the fact that I am seeing someone now, I have actually started talking to my mother about her to get her more involved and want to meet her. Now, the two of them can't wait til they meet. It's a good idea, David.

We all know how mom's love to be a matchmaker for their boy or girl.

Happy Mom's Day to mom's on the blog and Happy Ladies Day to those who are not. I started this when I started working for Wal Mart. Yesterday I attended a funeral of a friend and wished her Happy Mom's Day I knew it was a sad day for her but just be thankful for the parents you have for you only get a set in this life. So take care of the ones you have...I pray that all is well between those and their mothers for they were the ones who helped give us life. But also if it were not for dad also we would not be here.

After reading this a 2nd time, I realize that this is innovative David. Using your own mom as a prop. As a conversation starter. Who would've thunk?
